I was not the one that posted that message.  Please re - read.   I actually think Nigerians are some of the smartest people in this world.  I see many top Nigeria students at top schools in the U.S.

I was merely laughing at alabiyemmy  (the guy that posted the message) rant.  So please don't attack me.

@ dcdal,

Appologies! I did not see the earlier article. I'm sorry.
Necessary changes have been made to reflect alabiyemmy as the poster and not you.

my stance stays - Nigerian are the dumbest in the world  - thinking they are the smartest - not because they don't pay taxes but because of so many other reasons, you all stay in one little corner of the world and talk. Go to other small African countries, just for a single day, observe the orderliness, the peace, the law abiding citizens and go back to Nigeria for a sinlge day and compare what you have seen outside with what is happening inside and you will agree with me - we are indisciplined, unrully and we think we are smart - nothing to do with bad governance or something. My point is this, most things that are done in Nigeria by Nigerians are not heard of in many other countries and when Nigerian do it, they say they are smart? What is smart in 419, what is smart in fraud, what is smart in faking visa papers, what is smart in disobeying common/simple traffic rules, what is smart in throwing and dumping dirt on the road, whatis smart in all that? what has bad governance has to do with all that? It is in the person, not in the government or governance.

Idiagbon was right when he said "my people are indisciplined".

Yemmy.

@alabiyemmi

Given that we barely acheive anything positive we now take pride in our criminal acheivements. Many Nigerians look on 419ers  with a sense of pride. In Nigeria, people openly boast of how crooked they are.

While in University,I remember how people will boast about how they could go to the School Registrar and buy a 2nd Class Upper for 250,000 Naira.

What people don't get is that we are not even the smartest criminals.Even the crimanality we pride ourseves for,we are not that good.

As for tax,the question should not even be asked since we know very well what te politicians will do with our money

School age boys now flood internet cafes in the country, they don't go to school, they make a passion for the internet, not because they are learning or researching, but because they think they are smart and cunning people out of their money - why will you leave the prospects of an higher education to the temporary lure of petty cash received as a fraudster? Is that being smart or being dumb? Well, when we blame the government, we should also blame the decadence in the society, or do I hear someone saying the decadence is governments fault?Huh

The parents, the religious leaders, the teachers, fathers, mothers who have failed to inculcate virtue and righteousness into people they relate with, we should all wise up and stop this "dumbness", other countries laugh at us when we behave under the guise of being smart - something serious must change.

Tax ko , tax ni, GOD would never allow it, that wickeness for nigerian to pay tax to nigeria govt that steal from them.

over here we pay tax and see what our tax is use for. it give us the desire to pay more. we are happy to pay tax here. because we enjoy from the tax. I do not see my premier  or minister buy a private jet, or city major,
our road are ok. so we pay tax.

when  governor is richer than the premier over here that have a budget of $99 billion.

But when you have thieves in power. how can you pay tax to thieves. this is why nigerian do not pay tax. they would burn down the leader who tell them to do so. i know nigeria very well.
