@ odeku, U have guessed right. There's no fairplay in EFCC. Some people are languishing and rotting away in 'em jail cells while some people who had commited trhe same crime if not more are walking the streets free with no hassles.
Nuhu Ribadu should be sacked, tied to a stake and be stoned to death. He is a complete hypocrite who protect some sacred cows and unleash terror on OBJ's adversaries. Any commission devoid of fairness and honesty should not be tolerated
Ribadu is a twat!

Any commission devoid of fairness and honesty should not be tolerated well in the nigerian context, any commission that is not given the full power its needs and still gets result should be commend to do more not accused of this n that Nuhu Ribadu that u mention said it himself he is nothing special just doing his just to the bbest of their ability Remember there are thousands of corrupt people in nigeria but in court you need evidence! thats why many of them are been questioned and released As typical nigerians we want things done now now but collecting Evidence against people in nigeria is not a days job. and there is also the case for the immunity clause which the commission complained is hampering their job. Ribadu and his men are doing a good job could do more

Thank you LoverBwoy , Typical Nigeria think you accused someone of stealing and we stone them to death, abut in the legal system, it doesn't work that way, and how can you investigate people for corruption when we lack the cooperation of the foreign countries and the swiss banks?

Ribadu is a piece of tool that is being effectively used by current Nigerian government.
He sounds firm and very strict from a distance, but when you get closer to him you will quickly realize that he's a joke. And I'm starting to think that he might be systematically dirty too.

Obviously. He seems to be out perfoming his reqirements and expectations. That's why so many are against him and use that retarded excuse of only targeting OBJ political enemies. Are there no other financial crimes? For example, what has an email scammer got to do with OBJ or politics?
Keep on scamming, the EFCC will catach up to you eventually.

No matter the criticism heaped on the guy,he has tried in his position to rid some of the ills within the polity. We should be able to give credit to whom it is due. Imagine what would have happened if he hadnt done as much as he has done so fare.g. alams still governing bayelsa,419ners still rampaging, fayoses aids still looting. Even if he has not done to everyones expectations give the guy some slack that he has at least tried.
agencies like the icpc where inaugurated before efcc but today the force to reckon with is the latter , why? because of the dedication, vision, zeal of the helmsman. We should let the man work and let posterity judge if he was effective.

Posterity my ass. Why didn't posterity judge the Jerry Ganas, Usenis, Abdul-salams, Akhigbes, Arthur Nzeribe, Adedibus, Sarakis and the likes. There's nothing like posterity judgement in Nigeria because u will be surprised that the same clique of hoodlums will still come back and rule the country.
Nuhu Ribadu is a twat and i still maintain he targets OBJ's political enemies. What direct relationship does the EFCC have with the suffering masses in Nigeria. OBJ/Ribadu should channel the resources and funds to help alleviate poverty in Nigeria so that an average Nigerian can eat, clothe himself and have a decent place to lay his head at night. Let OBJ tackle the issue of epileptic power supply as that alone can make me vote him as a life president. 60% of the problems in Nigeria will be solved if OBJ can guarantee constant power supply. I'd rather as a ruler combat abject poverty in Nigeria than waste resources in caging looters andfraudsters. As a matter of fact, more fraudsters are walking the streets of Nigeria than the ones caged. I strongly believe the purpose of setting up EFCC has been defeated because people are still stealing Govt funds.

BINGO jackal you got it , look at the name you mentions " Jerry Ganas, Usenis, Abdul-salams, Akhigbes, Arthur Nzeribe, Adedibus, Sarakis " This are all IBB mens and not OBJ men, and yes IBB want to rule Nigeria? This man rule Nigeria for 8 years and never mention corruption or fight against corruption, and now that we have someone like OBJ and Ribadu tackling the issue, people want their head on a tray. chi Nigeria go survive. Jackal, corruption is like internet security, you can never and will never have 100% security or scalability, you can prevent people from attacking your network to minimal, same thing arise in this case, we are trying to prevent criminal and not eradicate corruption,. that will take 100 years, and which past president has ever had 60% electricity stability in Nigeria?

Thank you man, word up, and some people still think RIBADU is a joke, no matter how you look at it, he is doing a good job, and most governors and executive are scared to steal at high level now, they are scared of been exposed to the worlds and their friends. KUDOS ribadu. When IBB was there we all complaint of corruption and embezzlement, not we have someone taking drastic measures and people still not satisfy, that just shows no matterwhat we do we can't please everyone.

All the problems you highlight - power supply , security, health etc point back to the same fundamental problem in Nigeria. Greed and Curruption. As long as this is not tackled head-on (Thank God for Ribadu), no matter how much you pump into these sectors, nothing will come out of it. We may be at a turning point in our history and this requires our collective effort and the support of all of us, OBJ seems bent on bringing down the roof on the major league looters in Nigeria, OBJ, Atiku and Co. If he pulls this off by consigning these thieves to history, it'll be his greatest accomplishment. between, why is it that the most criticism of Ribadu seems to come from the 419'ers, looters, political jobbers and yahoo boys in Nigeria. I wonder why . It's almost as if "By their views, you can tell who they are and what they do for a living, "

ODEKU: As much as one wants to give kudos to your man (Mr. EFCC), one also has to read between the lines and see clearly that the faggot is one sided president's plodder. It is known from the past and present that It's never and never effective to be one sided when one is trying to accomplish a major goal, just like the one Mr. EFCC is trying to accomplish, You can only create more major problems by being one sided, A good example is the Middle East conflict and USA.
You can rubble the dust, but at the end of the day absolutely nothing will be accomplished.
The biggest mistake on EFCC's part is getting involved in politics, I think at this point much should have been accomplished if they had only taken a different approach.
Question: Why OBJ is so paranoid to have Atiku or IBB as the next president?
My answer: OBJ is paranoid not for the sake of Nigeria or Nigerian people; he's only paranoid for his own sake. He views IBB and Atiku as his enemies and he's extremely frightened of being humiliated by one of these guys. He knows and we all know that OBJ has a-lot of bones in his closet, These bone can only be exposed by these guys to prove a point to Nigerian people.
Hence, I do not respect Mr EFCC and I'm not impressed by his one sided shady or concealed accomplishment.

Actually Ribadu is only been used by those High office political holder's particularly president Obasanjo and co. They are using him to disorganize their opponents or rivals.
If you talk of Babangida's son issue, they only say they will invetigate him, but I tell you they can't find anything, even if the found anything they will not expose it.
We naijas, we should be praying so that God will keep our country united and give us good leaders that will rule us in a right way

I think we should not see Ribadu as a man but as an organisation set up by the government of the day to curb the menace of money laundry. No matter what people think the organisation (EFCC) is, i think is has hepled in uncovering the looters and plunderer of our resources. Although it looks as if it actions so far are selective but sincerely from all indications those caught did commit those crimes. Therefore i see no reason why people should bring politics in to this issue. Infact, Ribadu is my real man

@ Woleprof, Ur comment is still beating a dead horse. Every politician in Nigeria loots so why cage some of 'em and allow the others to walk free when everyone is guilty of the same crimes? EFCC should be fair and bring all suspected looters to book but have they been doing that? Nuhu Ribadu is a wanker and i hope the next regime will uncover his own inadequacies when the Notorious P.I.G(OBJ) leaves power.

My dear Jackal, Rome was not built in a day, so all the bloody and criminals calling themselves politician cannot be brought to book on day its one day after the other. Even God does not create the world in a day. Surely but slowly they would be uncovered to account for their finantial attorcities. Ribadu is not a saint though but i think god is using him for the cleansing of our land.

God is using Ribadu? C'mon mate, don't blaspheme. Devil is the being using Ribadu right now because God does not use people negatively.
I still wonder why people like Bode George, Chris Uba and Lamidi Adedibu are still walking free on the streets of Nigeria and others guilty of the same crime are being caged. If u were given the task of arresting the corrupt govt. officials in Nigeria i am sure u wont think twice before u compile a 1000-man list of corrupt politicians. We all know them but the question is why are they not rotting away in the jail cells? What makes Fayose guilty and Adedibu a saint? Is it not the same Adedibu who removed a governor because he was being deprived of the state's security vote? EFCC might turn a new leaf if sycophants like all y'all decides to call a spade what it is. The commision reeks of corruption from it's foundation to the roof.

The EFCC is not about arresting politicains. It is about combating corruption and financial crimes. I could give two shits about the politics of it all. As far as I'm concerned, the EFCC should keep up the good work. Keep bashing the heads of all those scammers and those that commit financial crimes.
Keep on scamming scammers. The EFCC is coming for you.

OBJ is doing his best to make sure Atiku and IBB do not rule Nigeria because he, like most of us, know they are thieves and crooks. With the huge foreign reserves, they'll come back and build more mansions in Maryland and Switzerland. (That shameless Atiku took his 'only' annual vacation in Maryland, when we have many destinations he could have visited. At least OBJ would retreat to his farm). In Nigeria we do not have leaders. Atiku lacks Character. He, IBB and the likes of them should be shot. And they will one day Ribadu is a remarkable and exceptional gentleman, perhaps the best thing in our recent history. Ribadu has not arrested Adedibu or Chris Uba so that makes him one-sided? Those of you complaining, what's the difference between Adedibu and Taf Balogun, Chris Uba and Fayose? Neither of them are public officials. None of them are responsible for concealing or diverting public funds. Besides, he cannot get everyone in one day. Afterall, Balogun was a good friend of OBJ until his travails. Ribadu is Gods gift to Nigeria, no matter the contrary opinions of the 419'ers, gullible manipulated, political jobers and yahoo boys!! Please read this interesting article on Ribadu, need I say more, http://nigeriaworld.com/feature/publication/ajiboye/081606.html

@Jackal,
I have not the slightest idea what you do for a living, but it's obvious the continued activity of EFCC is a clear and present danger to your livelyhood. For that I sympatise with you. However, it's important that you look beyond your nose and see the whole nine yards. Any effort that removes even 10% of the band of thieves in our nation should get your support, whatever theories of selectivity and conspiracy that you may conjur.
To exit this roller-coaster that is Nigeria, the biggest contract in Africa, what Ribadu is doing, flawed as you may view it, is extremely essential.
We need a fresh start or at the very least continuety of the present economic programmes of sorts. Transparent and conscientious leadership is a necessity for the development of our nation, and Ribadu should get a lot of credit for putting his personal safety in jeopardy, when he could take the easy step I'm sure you would have taken and collected the billions of dollars in bribe money from these rogues.
Malam Ribadu is God sent to us. Let's grab this once in a lifetime opportunity.
