The Quiet American is quite simply the errrrm, best film I have ever seen.

Searched the memory bank, compared and contrasted and I am struggling
to find better films. ''Boogie Nights'' perhaps. ''LA Confidential'' maybe. . . . .

Anyway. . . .if you've seen this film and were not impressed.

Oya. . . .come let us debate merits or demerits

LA Confidential is a superb movie. Are you sure The Quiet American surpasses it? Caine's performance was wonderfully understated, first rate, and the movie is good, but beat LA? That's a joke,right?
