1st Class And 2.1 Is The Best Grade. 2.2 Is God's Grace Anythng Else Ur On Ur Own.

          listen girl,i graduated with a 2.1 in ACCOUNTING, a C.GPA OF 3.81 and at the age of 21
               but i got a job 2 years after NYSC!!!
               
          A friend of mine graduated wit a 2.2 in the same course and class but got a zenith job 6 month after NYSC

I quess we all know that some b/because of the currupt educational syst many poeple with these Grades didnt work 4 or deserve it.If employers will b serious and sincere with their job test, believe you me guys with d best grades will not come out tops.

Hi all, I'm new to the site though i've gone through some of the previous posts. I must give kudos to the originator of the site (Seun I believe) it's a really nice initiative. From what i think i gleaned so far, he decided not to proceed to any higher institution for reasons best known to him (I hope i'm not wrong). Did it occur to y'all that we have people with 2.1's looking for job in this site that was created by someone who doesn't have a first class or 2.1 but who has a first class brain? So i'll implore us all to encourage each other rather than say or write things that will depress others. While not completely disagreeing with people's views that too much hype is placed on paper certificate in this country, we must all agree that it certainly helps if you have better grades and those who are still in school should endeavor to improve their grades if its not too late. I'm employed and i must say i didn't get it through any connection but just through God's grace and the fact that i made a  2.1 which enabled me to be called for different tests. The truth of the matter is that if you don't have a 2.1 or first class, you might not get called for "some" tests but it definitely is not the end of the world, you'll get called for some. I'll encourage those with 2.2 and 3rd class to keep striving and don't give up.We all shouldn't put all our eggs in one basket. You can always do something constructive while waiting for that one breakthrough. Good luck all.

I think Blasterman and Duttybarb belongs to another world, their view is so blur and that daft, i can imagine what they're up to, Imagine if Duttybarb heads and organisation, he'll run it down with this his pessimistic view, he can't even see beyond the cloud,so short-sighted,Duttybarb cannot have seen or noticed the naturally endowed qualities in any Polytechnic grauates for example,it's a shame that he allows his mouth to make a speech without consulting his brain. please u guys shdn't crucify dutty afterall he apologised b/4 he made that comment. i guess he's trying to reflect what is happening in nigeria now where 1st class and 2:1 are only recognised irrespective of the course and it is the truth, so our undergradutes should strive to make it now that they have the chance. at the end who becomes 'richer' is not based on your grade but it is good to arm yourself with a good grade.

You are talking as if you lack statistical facts and figures in life.It is only God that gives success in this world.It is only God that gibes wisdom as well.Whatever you achieve today isof God, and such prowess should not be use to intimidate or bring other down to damnation.Let me ask, are you a believer(muslim/christian)?If yes is the answer that statement you made about grade is satanic.

Let me back to my opening statement.Do you Gani Fawehinmi,Prof Wole Soyinka,Bill Gate(USA),Nodoru Tekeshita(Japan),Arthur Nzeribe(He worked in Shell with WAEC certificate-He did not have formal education(university),and majority of your house of reps and senates are average students.It is not what you carry that matters,it is how how you maximise your potentials.That iswhy America look less on certificates but ability to perform.

A graduate of 2.1 went for interview at shell and he was asked to write statement,the first line of it statement were full of error of syntax.

1.1, 2.1, 2.2,etc,It is God that we should look unto for success and not what we carry(ordinary paper)

That small girl should shut her dirty mouth. The fact must be stated here, everybody is not created equal. Not everybody will come out with 1st class or 2.1 and i strongly believe that there is something people with other grades can do better than those with good grades. its all about self discovery. The employers should take note of this

Whats this whole topic about?Why not ask Wole Soyinka or Gani why they didnt come out with first class or 2'1?They are even more successful than their peers that came out with a first class and 2'1.Abeg leave tori is what u have upstairs dt matters.

i see you people are still yarning opaks. all of u cheerleaders of second rate performance, don't make me swear for u. i don't care if u are a pass student working in shell or a 1st class student running a bank ,  this is for all the undergraduates who are reading or adding to this website,  stop decieving them, tell them the reality of life. i had a friend who served in access bank but was told he could nt get a job beyond sales analyst because he had a 2.2. I ave a friend who can't wok in a consultancy firm but can only make do as an intern because he has a 2.2.
I'm not trying to diss or hurt anybody only giving u the reality of life,
AND F.Y.I i am currently working in a bank and getting very ok pay because i had the sense to get a 2.1. I am not a retail marketer which is where they normally dump all those 2.2 graduates, no offense to the 2.1 peeps who are doing well in this field, so grow up and advise our youths

my dears, that you made an A in class does not mean you have made an A in life vice versa, so lets forget about the grades and push on, not forgeting that if you have a dream of working in some places that doesnt accept anything below 2.1, you must aspire to make a 2.1 or above, that is your mission towards your dream, DREAM BIG!!
