Yes many African women are beautiful, like my Igbo wife, though its only amongst a certain VERY FEW ethnic groups, that beauty is held to or near to a comparable level as the overall Black-American ethnic group. The Igbo is one group, and oddly enough Black-Americans have been proven to be of significant Igbo descent on average.

Why are we debating the fact that Afro- American women are amazingly beautiful there's no argument. Hands down, Full STOP!Consequently, that doesn't make Nigerian women less beautiful. Our culture is very different and I believe the standard of beauty for Nigerian women is measured differently than that of ie. East Africans or Afro-Americans. Because of our heritage and mixture of bloodlines we are an uniquely beautiful array of colors, blends, and textures of blackness.
The women who are Nollywood stars may not be a leading ladies in a Hollywood films, however, does that make them less beautiful? No, it emphasizes my point that America's standard of beauty is very different than that of Nigeria.
Please see Miss USA 2008 (an average Afro-American woman from Texas) and Miss Nigeria 2008 (an Igbo woman who resembles the average brown AA woman)

No, why would he be joking, it true. My great great grandfather was Igbo. Beautiful women being posted here. Though, the avg African American is not light skinned as depicted here. And what kind of question is it to say how have African women come to look so sexy as if it is a new happening? |
