Top 5 Female R&B Singers Of The 90's
« on: September 29, 2005, 07:57 PM »

Music is one of the greatest passion of my my life. I appreciate any good music be it hip hop, jazz, soul, rock, highlife, juju, apala, afro-tropical or what have u. the emphasis is on "GOOD MUSIC" but most especially i'm crazy about R&B. love songs always takes me beyond my world to a very far place where i ....... oh let me not go on and on about this. suffice it to say that i love r&b.

Now several female musicians have made this world a much more enjoyable place just by simply doing what they know how to do best.

My top 5 favorite female songsstress of the 90's are as follows;

Celine Dion
Whitney Houston
Toni Braxton
Maria Carey
Gloria Estafan

U've seen my list. What do u think? do u agree with me? if not let's have urs[starting with d best, in that order.] Wink Smiley

Who remembers Vanessa William's CD?  Do you think she'd rank any where or is she ineligible due to her only having one album?

Former miss America? Sure I do, she had 3 big hits - "save the best for last", "comfort zone" & a cover of guinn's "dreamin".

She would definitely rank somewhere below the artistes I mentioned. The first 4 I mentioned are very sophisticated singers, Vanessa could also be aptly described as sassy...

BTW, she had more than 1 album...

As per looks, she is one hot mamma jamma (first black miss America)

Oh, I wasn't aware that she had more than one album.  Kudos to her!

And yes, she was a former Miss America but had to surrender the title due to some racy photo's taken of her previously.

yeah, something about having posed nude at one time. good thing she picked up her life after what must have been a massive setback or a huge disappointment to say the least. good for her. she got right back up. i like her spirit.
