I want to know if anyone is using Zain internet on a 3G broadband platform just like MTN 3G Broadband is waxing strong now? If available, do they have data plans like pay as go connectable to pcs and laptops? I just love using Zain, their website is not advertising anything like that now. They're usually silent on such but has the most stable data connection over the years.

they have actually but i dont know why it aint loud enough. The 3g data card is cheaper than MTN's and yes, they do pay as u go and also the unlimited monthly. At shops in Lagos, you can get full info  |

are they scared to advertise the 3G? MTN is busy putting 3G and EDGE radio in every city and expanding coverage in already covered towns and villages, and advertising seriously too. now that's a company that means business. one more thing, the speed is very good!

Thats the 3g data card thingy, not bad only the area I found myself when I caught that, it kept auto switching btw 3g and edge. but I tell u the speed is outstanding. Watched a video without buffering. I have posted this somewhere else so dont think i am running around NL  |

But it wasnt 3g at the time I caught that!!
it was 2.75g (EDGE) at the time but the speed was still remarkable though

Thank you, Cabali and Lynxnoon for the right information. @cabali, please don't get mad at me for asking many questions, I'm just in love with the stability and customer satisfaction of Celtel now Zain network. As you're a user of Zain 3g internet connection, can anyone start, interswitch, and renew a data plan by recharging with equivalent card direct? Do they run a fixed cost for 24hrs plan pay as you go? Thanks for your understanding.

u can recharge the sim directly on your computer then for the bundled package, u dial a specific code to migr8. 4 d pay as u use, just recharge and start browsing; all on d computer screen

Where are you located? I've not been able to get a 3g service in my area (Ketu, Alapere). I only get EDGE & it's too damn slow. But I get a very good 3g speed with MTN in the same location.
