Who Knows About Geographic Information Science

I am an I T professional in a bank . I have intentions of leaving my job to go for masters in geographic information science . Does any one have idea of what the  course look like , the prospect of getting a good job after that . Am i on the right track ? pls advise .

My name is Dina James, I am a GIS student(MSc) of the University of Ibadan.Geographic Information Systems is an information sysstem that uses gographic data especially images captured from satellites to solve various problems that span through all human activities.Its application is numerous ranging from telecommunication, Oil and Gas, Broadcasting, Military, Education, Banking, Manuifacturing etc

It is a technology that helps in solving day to day problem.
