My people,
How una dey, tollu, TKB, Ajanlekoko, et al.

Been off for a while, been chasing money about the town and trying to expand the office. Meeeeeeeen this country hard. I provide my own light, water, house, security and even road. Then wot the heck is the govt doing. Mt yara-do-nothing is jsut a lame duck president watching our country distingrate. I tire.

Works been great, but the hardest part is getting clients to pay. Most of the clients are my freinds so they play the paddy paddy card when it comes to making payments.

Meanwhile, where is cristalz?

How una dey, my people?
Me I am just lying low till weekend, when I zap out on vacation. Regarding office work I'm basically on autopilot, nothing dey happen this week!.

Na wa for online payment in this country sha. Dem just dey reject payments from Nigeria-domiciled Mastercard/Visa cards, left right and center. I wonder the point of getting these cards if you can't even use them outside the country. I've had a few nasty experiences in the last couple of days: monies deducted and transactions frozen, airlines/train bookings made and cancelled, once they discover the card used is from naija, wire transfers hanging between banks anywhere from Lagos to London. I just tire.

Oh, and were we once blasting Nigerians on Nairaland wrt poor customer service? I take it all back. When you call these online travel agents etc, they are so daft and so rude it is unbelievable. 'Specially once they hear one is calling from Africa. An online travel agent took my cash, cancelled the transaction cos it was coming from naija, and rudely informed me that I would get my money back whenever. Meanwhile I called the Lagos office of a global airline to correct a mistake I made with my son's name, and they did it without any surcharge!
Omo, let's love ourselves in Naija, cos guaranteed, the rest of the world hates us.

the office today is a ghost town (like any other friday) there are less than 15 ppl at work out of more than 40(fear wont let me count), i wonder what would happen if there was an emergency. . .(the only emergency i've seen so far is when they took light during an FEC meeting the trips was mad o, we had like 200year collective experience in the switchyard that day)

A very hectic day. Spent whole day analysing bids received for some cars the coy is getting off. The result will be released soon and I have kept the whole coy on suspense. I'll throw the mail soon and run home before they start flooding my desk and bombarding me with calls.

At the heat of Asset Disposal Committee filtered in the report of Sanusi's salvo on CEOs many had thought are untouchable. The bombshell became the subject of discussion in Finance here. Na wa o.

Oga Ajanlekoko

Please mellow down for ya people

these past few weeks have been terrible for moi with them gale force winds sweeping the Financial Services Industry courtesy of Mallam Sanusi.

My institution though still under examination (we'll scale thru cos we r so phocking conservative unlike the average New gen bank) has 2 priorities now

1. Recovery of Past Due Obligations/loans

2. Make sure u dont lose any key deposits b/4 december & generate new leads if u can.

So ryte now us marketing peeps r in a shitload of wahala as the heat is getting unbearable.

As i type i've been in the office since morning poring thru old credit files that were granted when i was still sucking breast.

Omo men i'm seriously pursuing a plan B cos me i nogo die for this industry ooo.

Peace to the house.

Been having a busy time since sanusi dropped the bomb shell.Apparently people are very scared of the EFCC in this country. Received some briefs from clients who have been invited to the EFCC office for questioning regarding the non performing loans they took. Really do feel for them though. But now i beleive the saying that one man's meat is another's poison.

Now i know not to be deceived by guys who flash cash. A friend of mine whom i thot was a lagos big boys owes one of the banks N250million. This chap lived the life of the rich and famous on a loan can u imagine. Now yawa don gas and he is in trouble. Before now, to see him i had to fix an appointment but since last week, this chappie hasnt stopped calling me to save him from the EFCC. The bank has even written a letter to the UK and Yankee embassies that he is owing them money.

At least the good side of all this is that w lawyers get to make some good dough thru recovery or defending the loan defaulters. Either way we are in.

What a wonderful place to share your activities of the day.

I am Information Marketer. I sell Information Products and I also teach people how to market their ideas to the world to make huge money. My yesterday was glorious. After having a wonderful day teaching people my secrets in my business, I met someone in the evening who became my friend. She studied Mechanical Engineering in Abidjan. Though she is a Nigerian.

Just wondering if the rate chics in my office r getting hooked has anything to do with the upheavals in the industry.

Meanwyl, Heard CBN inspectors r done with our books & feelers r we performed well

The next hurdle remains December

The strategy meetings r outta hand already with supervisors using well worn catch phrases & cliches, during the last one i had to keep from falling asleep by exchanging Instant Msgs with my Girl.

Make the december come pass already, dem never reward me for magic wey i perform last FYE.

If it wuz in the good ol days woulda jumped ship to rival institution by now with promotion to booth.

Hey House,
AjanleKoko is back, after a well-rocked vacation!
It's good to take a break. . . albeit a rather expensive one. But this one was particularly unique, since it's actually the second such vacation I've ever taken. Gave me a lot of time for mental, spiritual, and physical stock-taking (yes, I did a full physical while I was away!)

The rest of the year is going to be rather busy, as I have a lot of stuff planned.

See y'all later.
