Nollywood needs a general improvement, not just the romance scenes but everywhere but i believe they're trying because itz not in the Nigerian culture to kiss in public or let people see you when you're in Action by action i mean kissing
some couples don't even kiss.

Well there is nothing wrong with the way they kiss. What they should work on is the way they shoot or produce those films. It sucks

damn too appalling!a scene would be filled with so much passion and will be followed by just a short lip kiss.we all know that "i love u" when passionately said, comes wit a french kiss(a really deep one).we need 2 make love scenes real. Then, love making in Nigerian movies is more of comedy than d reality it should be,that has 2 change!

Why should naija films have kissing and lovemaking in them anyway? what impact does this have on the story-line anyway - most imporatntly why do we have to copy the oyinbo to feel like we've achieved something anyway.
This kind of thing should be restricted self.

This kind of thing should be restricted self. "nay low" if you don't have any comment "stay low".are you a Nigerian or stay in Nigeria or even watch home videos? if you pass this simple test you should be able to know that Naija films are dominated with love stories, so why such a weird question that, "Why should naija films have kissing and lovemaking in them anyway?" don't make me f**k you i go vex ooh

i think the love sences in Nigerian movies really suck, they are so MECHANICAL you can see that these are two people who do not love each other but are acting a "play" Whether or not they kiss the sence has to be romantic enough to make audiences beleive that they are in love

I agree with Emad, it's not about the kiss but what leads up to it. If the acting, directing and producing gets better, the kiss and sex scenes will get better.

Well if i was living in Nigeria married to a Nigerian I will not be sticking my thong up anyones mouth in the name of acting. Even in Hollywood its mostly about the camera angle and not the kissing. They do not always kiss the way it looks. They have their mouth shut thigh

kissing in those films is like so yuck! i feel they don't know how to do it. but i also think that its because we as nigerians are not used to it and we want to be modernised and westernized

@ mazia. Nollywood is the name for the Nigeria movie industry While Bollywood is for the india movie industry, both names are derived from the American movie industry.

Most of the actors did not read theatre arts or take acting classes that is why they can be very bold and confident when it comes to dazing fellow actors with real slaps. But they get cold feet when the time comes to show love. The solution though lies in the contract they signed. For someone as subtil as myself, when on the job, I suggest these actors are given a 5000 page contract to sign before they get on set. On page 3619 will be the nudity clause that will also include kissing and lovemaking. If you can't do it, we bring in a body double and that will mean a cut on your revenue as the actor. I know these boneheads won't read the whole contract, and they won't want to lose 20% of their pay to a kissing stunt double. So they'll do it. And we'll keep retaking scenes till they get it right. Them dey mad. Them don learn how to give got slap but them no sabi give ordinary kiss.

@Hype, thanks for the clarification, one more question, the bollywood classification being indian, does that mean mean Nigerian movies fashioned after the patterns of indian movies or is it the usual indian movies i used to watch way back then like number 10, amar, akbar Anthony etc lmao remembering those movies.
