50 MOST POWERFUL PEOPLE IN THE WORLD 2OO9

NAIRALANDERS,

Newsweek published their list of the 50 most  powerful people in the world. No surprise the new leader of the free world President Elect Barack Obama tops the list. I’m not going to lie I had to look some of these people up. Like Hu Jintao who according to Wiki is the “Paramount Leader of the Peoples Republic of China”. 4-5-6 which Newsweek dubs the “Economic Trimvirate” (What a Name!) consists of  Ben Bernanke of the US. Federal Reserve; Jean-Claude Trichet of the European Central Bank (ECB); Masaaki Shirakawa of the Bank of Japan; and, to a lesser extent, counterparts in China, India, Brazil, Mexico and elsewhere. They say that that these individuals will be responsible for leading the world through this current world financial crisis. The Clintons come in at #14, while 7 years after 9/11 an uncapturedOsama Bin Ladenis #42 he even beats out Oprah at #47. PASTOR E.A ADEBOYE CAME #49! THE POPE AND ADEBOYE ARE THE ONLY TWO CHRISTIAN  LEADERS.ITS A PRIDE FOR NIGERIANS.
Take a look at this list. Like I said before your going to have to google some of these names

Nasrullah of course, He established the powerful Hizbullah challenging Israeli and Amarican Hegemony in the Mid-East. Hizbullah defeated Israeli Armies Twice in 2000 and 2006. with the presence of Hizbullah in Middle East even American state of department believe that a new order of Islam is finding its way to thrive in that bloc. A person that smashed down the American faces must be the great in the world.

#1 & 2 should be switched for obvious reasons, including the Dali Lama not being invited to the White House by Obama. . .

Adeboye?

A conscientious examination of the list reveals that it spans across divers sectors: Politics, Entertainment, Terrorism, Religion, Business, Technolgy, Finance, Islamic community, Military, Media e.t.c

"Powerful" Men are regarded as people of great influence; the movers and shakers of their sectors.

Pastor Adeboye is sure a powerful man in the context of religion not only in Nigeria but across the world.

, personally; i expect TED TURNER's name to be on the list, he could make or mar anybody in the world with is media prowess,  ( not discredting BLOOMBERG and RUPERT though), recall that OBAMA's victory could not have been complete without him,

Cheers.
