La Liga: Who wins the SPanish League this season (2006/07)
« on: August 22, 2006, 01:30 PM »

Villareal
Sevilla
Real Madrid
Barca
Valencia
e.t.c.
It's a long list but who wins this season? With imports from all over the globe, from The English league of Pires, Ruud and Eidur to the Italian league of Cannavaro, Thuram and Zambrotta it's been a scramble but who gets the crown?

As the Rivalry continues, Real Madrid is 5th, with 5 points behind Leaders Barca (16 points) and Sunday might be the decider of who wins the league this season.

Thanks Priscila,
You r right. I have a fantasy football team on soccernet and my la liga boys are doing well. Torres and Eto'o have scored already so i have about 58 points.

I'll be getting the fixtures here. Thanks for the follow up, so we'll make it STRICTLY LA LIGA!. Yea!

« #7 on: August 29, 2006, 04:15 PM »

that's the way Christino.
quite on track.I love la liga too.
i watched the other day Etoo get best forward award
Dinho best footballer
puyol best defender
Deco best mid and Jens Lehmann best gk of Uefa champions league last season.
But my favourite team there is Barca.
Sevilla rocked them in supercup and that Malian kanoute Fred is good.
I fear real madrid which now has Diarra and Nistelrooy.

Nistelrooy should win the highest goal scorer award this year. With Beckham and Diarra behind him, and with Ronaldo prolly moving away, what else do you expect?

Don't even think about it! Wait till the two teams meet and see what Barca will do to your Real team.  Wink

I see madrid whooping barca,
Madrid have/had a very potent squad but were mismanaged.
But y'all have eyes, and u can see the signings,  world class defenders to patch up for misgivings,
Good Coach, Goal poacher. .  name them,

Barca havent been so superb themselves, what with the scandalous 0-3 loss to sevilla, and their last minute winner over Huh Cool

Grizzly
I don't agree with you at all. I guess you think just because Sevilla beat them in super cup.
I fear that cannavaro though to be in Real but Barca still has Thuram and Zambrotta plus Puyol to check the likes of Nistelrooy and Diarra ,Ronaldo, reyes all those

Now I believe, except that Mourinho's face is now scary on LaLiga. He is always at logger heads with Barca, and now Thuram who happens to be in Barca. What am i to do! Grin

@Priscilla

Real Madrid should win the league this year, because they have what it takes to win it and moreso have you not noticed that of recent there has been a drop in how well your boo plays and also Dinho has dropped form so much that you can bet he might just be a shadow of his self

Not to talk of RVN and Cannavaro joining the team, hmmn i bet you the la liga will be a lot more tougher this season Cool
Priscila (f)
Re: La liga (Spanish League) who wins?
« #30 on: September 07, 2006, 10:32 AM »

kitaun
I wish you watched france/italy Euro qualifier match to see that cannavaro you are talking about. The man is so tired plus his age not an advantage.
Etoo and Dinho are still the architects of Barca and age still on their side.
By the way Kitaun no "black" supports Real madrid as they also call themselves "equipo blanco" no blacks.
Am still not convinced Diarra will be comfortable just like Makelele was'nt.

Join me lets  support Barca the only team with continental p[layers of the year plus our own African player you can also join teeroy to halaaaaaaaaamadrid. i mean laugh at madrid.
Am sorry they wont win the league

Re: La liga (Spanish League) who wins?
« #31 on: September 07, 2006, 08:02 PM »

cannavaro had a decent game yesterday!!!. This season no doubt is going to be tough for the catalans. REAL MADRID's football is going to show  lot more purpose than last season's.No doubt about that. All the cry about the REAL MADRID defence not being good enough is going to disappear. I am not going to waste ink analysing the Barca team. It's not worth it.Our current strength at the Bernabeu is quite clear for all to see(except of course you are antimadrid).
