If you wish to learn how to design from the scratch, just follow http://www.nairaland.com/nigeria/topic-216485.0.html

Back to the class project. I was going to start posting codes, but decided to start by doing a mock-up blueprint of what we will be doing.

Then the codes will start following with explanations just so u get the steps right.

Now i am begining to wonder what happened to the students!?@${:} I dont like writing codes if i dont get any feedbacks! even if it is as simple as copying and pasting codes from my outdated library!
And i appreciate questions too - i hav a formed a policy to only post useful codes on demand - not spontaneously - even if it is potentially useful to everyone!
And i will like to extend this thread by sayin u can post any of your questions on dynamic website development here: html, javascript, ajax, css, php, mysql, here - we (notice i didnt say I) will thrash them out together.

I am not a specialist in any of those areas - maybe u should ask webdezzi - he is a dreamweaver specialist - as for frontpage - that one is very much outdated. Ehm, i think i will have to ask for help here - ehm yawa, omnipotens, webdezzi - your help(s) are required here.

Don't i love you. You are good. Here is the deal. We are following your classes. As a matter of fact don't assume we are not. Just stick to the outline. So you have given us the code give us the html codes. Let us use it and tweak it a little who knows someone might even volunter the graphics. But whatever happens always remember we are always following your post doggedly. keep up the good work

ok, post the layout here so i will mark and debug it - and continue from there - and for the chm file of the learn, it is workin fine but if there is a problem with your os - u may not be able to view it - i will convert it to pdf later - i actually created it 2001 - when i still use to teach ppl html and javascript, and renamed it to 2009 just before uploading it on new year's day.

No problemo - we will do the best we can to help ppl get along.
Nau i am begining to wonder what happened to the assignment - i even forgot to mention that winner gets a prize (options will be given to the winner) - i am talking of the simple html layout for the first class project which i happen to still be waiting for - before i continue.

And for those waiting for the javascript calculator completion - i am very sorry for the delay, but it has been done - u can find it on

For the very fact that you have shown some seriousness is noted (that also carries part of the marks) - prize is that i will give you preference as a serious minded person. I will continue this later then. Actually the codes have been done before when i was still teaching web design, will just break it down in bits and pieces so those that want to learn will learn, and those dat wat to copy and paste? well if they dont read the explanations, they are bound to get lost somewhere,

I am not that good with dreamweaver, unless you want me to teach you you rubbish - but i guess there are some dreamweaver folks in the house, but i am not sure if there is any good dreamweaver thread anywhere around - maybe you should search first.

Sorry, i made a very small mistake - the source code was not uploaded - or i misconfigured it - i will sort it out later.

So i have resorted out the dhtml file browser (it is supposed to make my work easier) - so i can update easily and will not need to crowd this place with codes.
