interesting poll. it would seem that the states with the most posts are 'characteristically' technology-aware and the orientation towards free-speech (online) is strong.
Wonder if Governors of the states with little posts actually care about Technology penetration in their states, it could mean, little was spent on forging Internet cafes or computer education or even education.

Are there no humans in NASSARAWA,ADAMAWA,YOBE and other states with zero count? It must be the lack of internet access.

We are still celebrating 2009 in our villages here in Nigeria. In 3 days time there will be some adjustments though I expect Lagos to have it good.

I think we should have another poll to know the population of Nairaland by State of origin and Ethnic Group.

If I were to predict before this poll, I would definitely have picked Lagos and abroad as the surest contenders for AREA WITH MOST NAIRALANDERS. I think Rivers, due to PHC, is currently on third. I'm however disappointed at Oyo(with Ibadan and Ogbomoso), Kano and some other urban states having very few Nairalanders. Don't they care about the internet there? C'mon, what's happening over there?
I doubt if we can have a single poster from Taraba,Yobe, Kebbi etc even if we leave this thread for months, except maybe for corpers there!

Lagos excluded, we can see that Rivers State is the most enlightened State in Nigeria.

I think with this Poll, we should know the Most populous and Most Illiterate cities. Most Populous: Lagos, Porthacourt. Most Illiterate: Those Northern states with 0%(Na there Illiteracy Finish)

@ worldman. We are to vote from where we live, I mean your base, not necessarily state of origin, so vote for where you are based. Greatest Nigerians, please we are not talking about resource control here, those that are abroad will gladly vote for abroad and not their state of Origin and they won't even give it a thought. Why are we giving it any thought whether to vote for where we live or our origin or may be there is an hidden agenda for Nairaland Resource control. Let's be straight, it's new year

what is happening to all those nothern cities? They are simply not as populous as other states, except for Kano and Kaduna. Illiteracy is another factor.

You should close this ones and re-start the poll with options for more places, Some peeps are prolly from the U.S., some from England, and Canada, and then have one more option for "None of the Above"?
Just a suggestion,

For those of us that shuttle between cities regularly, how do we vote? I'm in Lagos at the moment, but will be outta here 2 days from now, and may not be back until maybe September. Already voted Lagos though, 'cuz that's my base.
