I know Imoh from way back; IITA (Florida in Ibadan) brought up "ajebota", ex-ISI, ex-UI. i will like to know the whole of the story though, the publishers seem to be quite vague on how he scammed them.
We know how they've gotten back at Imoh, but what exactly did he do to them to arouse this venom.
I have very little sympathy for con artists, but this story has some pieces missing.
I haven't heard from or about him in years and didn't know he was married, i am really sad for his family who will have to share in his shame.
One key lesson for greed driven people, stop and ask yourself how much money is worth your dignity.

Common brother what has tribe got to do with it? There are scammers and con artists from every part of the world. I will make the assumption that you are a young Nigerian/African and i will dare to say when i hear such arrant tribal nonesense from the new generation my anger is really deep. Any sort of bias is a sign of a small mind, judge every individual by his actions not by where he comes from or which part of the world he faces when he chooses to pray.
It is just like saying you are ignorant because you are black. How would you like that?
I hope you won't come saying i picked on this because i am Ibo, because i am not, I just dislike to hear this type of generalisation. Learn a bit more about Nigeria as well Imoh & Udoh are Efik or Ibibio names. The guy was born and raised in Ibadan(Yoruba) as well, how did all this contribute to him ending up as a greedy con artist? Zilch, nothing, he is in this because he chose to ( his choices) and he would have to bear the consequences of his actions.
We are too quick to generalise and sweep issues under a tribal umbrella. Take the government official who was fired for stealing public funds and his village people would come to defend him not denying his stealing but saying he is being victimised because he is from sokoto/ondo/rivers/kogi or anambra. Whats that? Can't we see the guy is just a thief?

I weep for Nigeria. I am shocked at the people posted in here and the extent people will go to for money. It is really terrible that these fellas cannot turn to more creative means of making money. We need to give the contents of the scammer blog more prominence than it currently enjoys.

I was particularly shocked by comments #44 by one Ajisafe posted on the 18th of February 2008. I feel more worried that in spite of the hateful contents of the comments, the bloggers deemed it fit not to have been deleted 40 whole days after it was posted. While the topic at hand is entirely on an Ibibio guy who has set a very bad example, Ajisafe took his opportunity to pour his venom on the entire Ibo race, a people who has entirely nothing to do with this episode. While I will not stoop so low to trade tackles with you bordering on tribal differences-I have friends amongst all Nigerian tribes-people of low minds like you should be banned from literate forums. You are nothing but an unrepentant tribalist. I am an Ibo and feel very insulted by your comments. I took my time to read the comments you were apparently responding to and it was wholly unoffensive. When we go to the Western world, we keep complaining of racism but look at you in a very small world of ours stoking the fires of tribal hatred. You should hide your face in shame and go to look for your likes elsewhere!
