There is this kind of problem my laptop is facing, it boots up to the Windows XP logo, and just keeps loading and loading and loading and will keep loading till eternity if it's allowed, I decided to format it and after that it will work normally but after about a day or two the problem continues,(I've done this many times) my thought was maybe the RAM has been infected with virus so i want to change the RAM, when i removed the RAM and checked, it was labelled INFENION and I haven't seen a RAM with the name INFENION on it at computer shops i've been to, so i'm afraid of incompatibility. Please I need to know if i can just buy a laptop RAM for replacement. Thanks in advance.

RAM doesn't hold any memory after the computer is shut down, so it's highly unlikely that yours has a virus. My guess is that you're having some type of hardware failure problem. As for INFINEON, a quick Google search told me that it's a computer hardware company. It's just a brand name, like Kingston or Dell.
Look up what type of RAM your computer uses (DDR2, DDR4, PC133,etc.). It should be on a sticker on the stick of RAM. Then go to a hardware store and look for that specific type.

Thanks, I'll see, It was just a thought, after formatting it works fine and starts the prob again, could it be my drivers then?
