Pilgrim.1 must have sold you a bad bill of goods. Read it again. Surah 19 verse 71 does not say that Muslims will go to hell first. I am sure you can read. What it says is that everyone among mankind, Muhammad, Jesus, etc all the way to Adam among the prophets and the messengers, shall pass over the hell! Passing over does not not mean that you will be in Hell, if you are not designed for hell by your evil deeds.

The passing over process is where the Kufar (like you David) and hypocrites (from those who say they are Muslims, but actually not) will fall into hell. The pass over event is humans trying to go to Paradise, from a place of gathering. Hell is a place between this place of gathering to a place that will lead to Paradise. So everyone will have to make this effort. So there is a bridge over hell to make this transmittal possible.

In the process of crossing, the bests of human beigs (Prpphets and Messengers and Saliin) will past in as fast as lighting speed. The lesser people in faith wil be slower, in speed. The least person to go through without ever entering hell way crawl even slower than a person still trying to learn how to crawl.

Everyone else, like you (a person who is from people of the books) will definitely fall into hell from this height (the bridge) that is over the Fire of hell.
