Sqlserver2005 Meets Jdbc Palava!

Been stuck wit d problem of trying 2 get images into sqlserver2005.
Specifically, my dilema goes thus:
* i'm presently working on a dbase related application using jdbc but i can't seem 2 find a way of inserting images in my table n retrieving it using jdbc.
I've tried using BLOBS 2 insert into d table which worked perfectly but retrieving its content 4 view using a JLabel has proved a mystery.
i need help peops!
Alternatively, u could show me aw 2 do so using vb2005
