Would it be good for society as a whole in anyway or not?
Is the 'war on drugs', designed to steer public attention away from real problems?

I thought of how to respond to this post. I would love to list all of the reasons why I think it's horrible and wouldn't do us any good to legalize but then I thought of how alcohol was is legal and it's just as bad for us, smoking is legal and it too is horrible.
I would only say that legal or illegal I would hope that one would be able to see that just because soemthing is made legal, does not mean it's actually good for us.

I seriously think it should be legal. Do you know that the reason why some people do drugs is because they know it's Illegal?? SOme people just want to do the thing that they shouldn't do. Buy illegal drugs and smoke it so that they can be considered "cool". If drugs is legal, seriously the rate at which people use it will be cut low. It'll be better.  Think the way i am thinking, and u'll get the gist. |

I get what you're saying, Lizzy, but to make it legal would also make it easier to get into everyone's hands.
They also would do it a much as they'D like while walking down the street, just like drinking, because it'D be legal.
I think those who want to do it will do it wheter it be legal or not.

its legal here in uk,and i see no reason why it should be illegal because its done @free will...  if you like it,take and if you don't,don't come near it.I think we are in a civilized tenure,everyone should know wots right AND WRONG for em... notice miya wrong is in bold..its bad |

It's legal in UK? I heard Porno on Tv is also legal and not rated. I know soo many people that will come to UK just because Drugs are legal.

God made grass. Man made booze. It cannot have been said any better. Pure Unrefined wines and beer is good, its simply fermented grains/fruits. Grass like weed and the cocoa plant occurs in nature. There is nothing wrong with smoking it. Cocaine, LSD and other manufactured drugs are certainly bad for you however and should never be legalized, but I believe ciggarettes are even worse, as they are built from the ground up to be addictive and have over 2000 chemicals to preserve the tobbacco for years and to keep you permanently addicted. WHy ciggarrettes haven't been banned is an ongoing mystery to me. But there is absolutely nothing wrong with weed. Like anything doing it overzealously is bad, just like eating to much fatty meat or drinking to much water (can offset your bodies ph) can actually kill you. But weed itself is not bad. The War on drugs is almost as big of a joke as the War on terror. And nothing would happen if marijuana was legalized. People that want to smoke marijuana already do, the war on drugs has not dettered ANYONE from getting marijuana. Legalizing it would regulate it which with proper regulation, can only be a good thing as it would have to adhere to strict standards which means better grade weed for us all |

In Germany many things are legal all depends if you are the supplier or demander. And many of the so called legal things are not legal but Tolerated. It is not legal to sell ciger to a child , but no law forbidds him smoking. that means a 12 year old can smoke in front of the police station more than ask him to off the ciger they cannot do. |
