Which phones are most the commonly used phones in Nigeria?

Just want  to sample opinion of  members to know which phones are mostly used in Nigeria and why?

I use Nokia myself because of ease of use and it does better than other phones when sending data.

What about you?  (ed: what phone model do you use?)   And why did you choose that phone?

I use a Sagem MYX-5m set,i chose this phone because i wanted an affordable phone which could at the same time provide a lot of other features i love, like wap, mms, and most especially the speaker convenience, its also good at picking network, where there is limited service.

I know why! You just don't have a budget for your phone of choice Wink

Same with me: I use a Samsung R220, but the next phone I'm getting would probably be a Nokia smartphone.  I'm not going to spend one kobo on phones until I can get what I really want!

Personally, I use a Motorola, but I think the most popular phone is either a Nokia or a Samsung model.  Those two are probably the two most popular brands in this country, though motorola might be making an impact with the c115 (thanks to Vmobile Cool)

I use a Nokia 1100. I like it because of its size and that it's got
*long battery life;
*folders like inbox, draft and sent items;
*powerful flashlight (extremely useful!)
and a lot of other good features.

It hasn't got wap, but I am not bothered because I use vmobile. As soon asĀ  it is available, I'll get another Nokia. Always Nokia for me.

Am using Sendo SV663, and the reason is not far fetched, I need a camera phone, and my pocket pick Sendo. Hope to win Nokia Camera Phone from Vmobile Win-Nokia-Promo next week.
Wish me good luck. So I can join the Nokiamania Club

Nokia (for now) is the clear leader in the mobile phone market. Even based on the results of the poll.

All the phones I've used in my life are all Nokias (3410, 3100 and 7110). Why Nokia? It's got the best navigation on any mobile phone. If you've used any Nokia before, you can be sure that you can use any other model. There's an exception for the Symbian based Nokia phones - generally still, their user interfaces are standard.

I choose a Nokia phone because of it's global support. As a mobile application developer, Nokia gives the best support to their development community - I've not found more documentation and development tools for any other mobile phone brand than that of Nokia.

I've used different phones: Nokia 3310, Motorola c350, Samsungc100, Motorolaa835.  Now I'm stuck with a Trium: no thanks to my friend who thought my phone needed a bath Cry Cry Cry.  I hope to get a Sendo X.

I think I like Motorola phones though; they have a lot of easy-to-use functionalities.

What sort of profession is that exposes you to different types of phones?  I'm sure it must not be what I'm thinking. Grin
