On the 1st of Spetember 1998, RayPower 100.05 FM became the 1st independent radio station to broadcast on the Nigerian air wave. Looking back over the years on their programming and balancing of news along side their sister TV station AIT, I think they the best thing that has happened to the Nigeria Broadcasting industry.

maybe you didn't get my drift, I was just saying that RayPower being the flagship of private radio stations in the country has done well. It wasn't a comparisim between them and other private stations. Besides, it is not all about music that makes a station thick, but more like rich programme contents with local values.
