Folks, does anyone believe a lady will have that as their signature?
That signature does not make me think she's a man but rather that she resides in America. Onthe flip side of the coin, I think she's the best citizen Nigeria can ever offer (in terms of patriotism and seeing positives and being blind to the negatives).

Onthe flip side of the coin, I think she's the best citizen Nigeria can ever offer (in terms of patriotism and seeing positives and being blind to the negatives). my favorite boss in town: this is not correct. i'm pretty much aware of our severe deficiencies in nigeria, but it is all about the registration in our heads. if we continue to register negativity images about our country, what else is left? what exactly could we benefit from just talking down about nigeria? i think the best that could come out of it is exactly what is currently taking place as we speak "people running out of the country while others stay far away from home kissing ass" (must_a_far and boss, respectively). We should use america as our study case: as things are becoming very difficult and extremely unbearable in usa, what do you think the citizens would do about it? do you think they would run out of their country? do you think they would talk down about their country? even with bush being a stupid president/ administration, i hardly find an american talking bad or criticizing his or her country. you must embrace your country at all time and show others (outsiders or insiders) that this is your home regardless of what tomorrow brings. and this is also when politicians would honestly take us more serious. it makes no sense to continue to beat the dead house, let us find a way to wake him up.

back to the subject: if our president needs medical attention, let him go get it. we can worry about other things later. the man is a human being and not a machine. healthy president = healthy nigeria.

Oh yeah I did, I should have told must_a_far that that's the way you are normally with your wry sarcasm; suits you though as you're one of the young high flyers of Nigeria (to my knowledge). But could you please dispel my thought that you're not in America andactually in Nigeria because you surely cannot remain that positive if you still live in Nigeria.

it was on one of those trips that a lot of dollars were found on board our presidential jet for which andy uba was convicted by a law court in the usa. it was equally on one of his medical trips that alams was caught with millions of pounds. before then obj had mad more than 50m international trips. these sick leaves most times provides the genuine reasons for our leaders past and present to carry our funds to abroad. these guys shld learn to go to nigerians hospitals to recieve treatments and where possible die like other nigerians instead of these deciet trips. all the same, yar adua has not leaved upto his expectation like his father in politics who used to rule nigeria in the high skies.

Good one! This is the same thing that happened when he was governor in Katsina. He made little or not effort to improve the healthcare system to world standards in that state, so he can at least get treatment there, during his 8 years as governor.

@cre8tivity Anyone that is saying Yar Adua has done a good job and just leaving it at that should please educate the masses on this job that i for one am failing to see in the face of desperate hope for the nation. You'll have to forgive my lack of patience as far as Yar Adua is concerned, but it is a tad irritating when people just come on and throw such statements without providing anything of substance to back up such claims. It is equivalent to me coming online to say Yar Adua has buit a mordern railway track between lagos and abuja without providing any proof of such. I will keep asking what has Yar Adua done, i want to see what it is i am blind to and can't see, i mean his undertakings must be either very secretive or just so technically advanced that he has undetaken on "first in the world" invisible projects that invisibly impact in on the lives of Nigerians.
Saying people are just talking the country down for the sake of it is in my view (take it or leave it) and old rhetoric which people have used to excuse rubbish. Fashola is also a leader in thesame country and though there might be people that do not agree with him on some issues and there are many that support him and do not according to you"talk him down", the concensus can be that he is actually doing something that could positively impact on the lives of Nigerians, although some might argue about priorities et al. So please I have no shame in learning, educate me on substantial development that Yar Adua spear headed and directed since he got into power, and non of that "he is undoing the wrongs of OBJ" rubbish please, educate and enlighten us. If you look through all the promises of emergency in the power sector, electoral reforms, 7 point agenda, budget been passed with nothing of substance to show, insecurity still in the Niger delta, the state of the education sector, the state of the economy, industrialisation and diversification of the economy, job creation, etc, the list goes on, what conclusion do you arrive at with regards to progress and development and does that to you justify a year and 8 months worth of work? By the way, comparing issues of patriotism in Nigeria to America is simply hilarious. Patriotism from my observation is normally built on something of substance. Calling out things like "natural resources, beautiful lands, etc" is just amusing, every country has their God given piece of that pie already, its what you do with it that matters. Hope you don't take this as aggression, but i keep hearing "Yar Adua has tried; stop talking him down; he is too sick; he has done so and so" for so long and have up till now been unable to get a response as to accomplishments that i am unaware of.

Is it really a lash though? I want to be educated on this progress, development and projects that are invisible to me, that too much to ask? Just accidentally browsed through BBC News this morning (not my prefferred news source at all) and someone was making a statement about not doing anything being the worst thing to do with regards to the economic downturn, all i thought of immediately was "go tell that to Yar Adua". Nigeria has been in recession and crunch time for how long now? This dancing on the precipice is getting a tad boring now, if Nigeria won't walk away from it, might as well jump of. Just to make things interesting and new for a change.
