Fellow Nairalanders,
does anyone know how to get into Nigerian Law School if you have a U.S bachelors degree. Since there is no school that offers undergraduate law degree in the U.S, how can one go about getting accepted into the Law School. Please help.

You cannot get into the Nigerian Law School except  you have some form of legal education in college, lets say you have a J.D in America. If you have just a bachelors degree, you would not be admitted as a foreign student eligible to enter the law school. It is a very strict requirement for you to complete compulsory law courses such as contract, torts, evidence etc and be acertained to have graduated from a University that taught you law.

I think its better for you to use your bachelors degree in the U.S to gain admission to obtain a J.D in a U.S college and then go to law school. So instead of 4 years, you would use 3 years!

Hello,

I was just wondering if anyone of can help me on my eligibilty to Nigerian law school. I have a B.A in Politics and Law. I have my ENTRANCE Solicitors exams done in a commonwealth country (Ireland) and I am currently studying a LLM. I have done all the compulsory law subjects stipulated my the nigerian law society except commercial law and I have even done most of  those subjects twice, once in my ungerdraduate and also for my ENTRANCE Solicitors exams. I was wondering whether the law society will automatically look at the fact that I have a B.A in Politics and Law and deem me uneligible because its not a LLB or whether they will beyond that and actually the contents of my degree and Entrance Solicitors exams and look at the fact that I have covered all the law subjects and covered them in depth.

Thank you for the help.
