I will step aside from jury participation ONLY if I receive a written pledge that ALL official SUV's shall be surrendered into my custody at the close of the trial, Tex.

I must first commend you for your astute comment. How did you know that it was SUVs i had in mind? Truly, brother, 'twas not flesh and blood that revealed that truth to you.

naturally, all committee members have the option to purchase the vehicles after the entire process at an 'adjusted' price.  Grin

However, i wish to remind you guys that as the head of the committee screening the members of the investigative committee, i have applied for our own SUVs to enable us carry out our patriotic duty efficiently.

Screening committee is also a serious business! The senate is aware of this. Cool

Fellow NL, I enjoy the commedy going on here. However, as a patriotic member of  NL and a loyal citizen, I desire to hear President Seun speak on this grave allegations levelled against him. I would not mind if President Seun sends his spokesperson to address the nation of NL on this allegation. There is always the need for masses of NL to be informed of the true state of the nation. Thanks.

Message from the spokesman:

It has come to the the notice of his Excellency about the malicious , untrue and callous allegation of corruption of our amicable and hardworking President. Some elements of the media and this forum have been peddling this rumor about "Ghana must go" in foreign currency, alleged to be given to his excellency by a section of this country.
Let me seize this opportunity to deny this allegation. At No point in time has the president or any of his representatives been given any money. You will recall that his excellency in his transparent attitude, declared his assets at the beginning of his term. All the records are open to verification
His excellency has advised the Forum to work together as as one in this trying times of our national history. This is not the time for backbitting and peddling of unconfirmed rumor.
Mr President has always operated an open door policy, so  the appropriate step for journalist to take before going to the press is to confirm from the presidency about the authenticity of their stories.
Let me seize this opportunity to tell Mrs Farida, head of EFCC, to investigate this matter and report to the presidency within 2 weeks.
All staff of the NL presidency are also to take a oath of secrecy Asap.

Thanks for your understanding fellow NL members.

Dear Sir,
What is a Kia Picanto to a person of my calibre? I realise you mean well, but don't you realize that at this moment you are doing the dirty work of the enemies of nairaland and democracy (curses be upon them)?
We are a hard working cabal of gentlemen. We are not philantropists! Do you not realize time is money? I myself run a thriving cutlass factory for distribution to youths during election periods. I provide such selfless service which also serves to keep Nigeria's population down to reasonable levels. Given this noble work i do, am i now expected to be seen driving a Kia Picanto around town?

My good man, there is ample time to resolve your grave error and send brand new SUVs with alacrity.
Please note that chinese brand SUVs like Geely and CUV will not be entertained.

What gives you the impression that Seun collected $100 to get your satellite images deleted? Why don't you think of how we can unite to clean the mess at home? What impression are you giving under 16 kids viewing this site? Do you want them to see Nigeria as a banana republic? Grin

Haba! BecomeRich is convinced that a cabal of Northerners are after him. Don't you think that throwing Muslims (even if they be southerners) into the panel may make him not appear before the tribunal?

I dont have time for most of your nonsense.   Seun here is one of the best master degree around in software engineering. The good thing is you learn about relational database system which you can use in banks and even  your website and data structures and algorithms. You see in relational database, you can do allot with your website or if you work somewhere. You can make event unique or otherwise. You can link various data together and let them appear  or disappear when you want them.

And you learn how to design software.

Look they are able to teach you about client server. Which is what you need  when you deal with ATM machines and others. Think about it. Or google and look for howard university. Prof aluko is in howard and may be able to help you. I can give you his number.  Dont continue to waste your time on the internet and insulting people get knowledge.

To be honest to you guys, I sea the man called him self a graduate of electricity engineering of university of ilorin as a joker, is not someone to be taking serious in anyways,

My advice to (Nigeria 1), go back to your drawing board, think of what can benefit your people aside creating Yoruba nation, you will be looking stupid if you are addressing it this way, am a typical Yoruba man, and I can tell you that the way you are taken the issue is not the best way you should.

First try to agitate to have a good  leader in southwest then from there you can now be talking of separating Yoruba people from Nigeria.

We Yoruba are accommodate, and from my observation 95% of Yoruba’s are not ready to separate from Nigeria,

If you continue with all this your trash you end up been irrelevant in the society.

I like your courage and your passion to stand on your point, but it’s not the best way you should go about it.

a word is enough for a wise man.

Wow. .  .so a discussion like this had been going on on NL since yesterday and I didn't know.
It's been long we had a very interesting and hilarious discussion like this on NL. The thread starter would have even made it livelier titling it 'Nairalandgate' or 'Nigeria1 dares the King, throws shoes at him!'.
Becomerich aka Nigeria1 is one Nairalander that is a master in the art of comedy. I always laugh whenever I come across his satellite pictures, that, will this guy ever listen? He is quick at 'buttressing' every assertion of his with those nauseating images, even if the topic is 'Arsenal Vs Man U'. I have stopped taking him serious long ago. His posts throw me off my seat, laughing!
Imagine a special thread opened to call for his banning some months ago. Other than those 419 spammers that come to NL to attempt to defraud, Nigeria1 is the only NL that has the record of unanimous call for his ban. Nigeria1 would have been a good, though not necessarily objective, analyst, but his nauseating pictures spoil his analysis. I have never seen somebody so stubborn and unrepentant.

The post that became the subject of this thread is yet another comical comment from the guy. He is a master comedian.
Coming from Nigeria1,who has lost what it takes to take somebody serious, the allegations deserve no more than being laughed off, but since we still see him as part of us in this e-Nigeria, let's take a look at teh allegations:
THAT SEUN COLLECTED MONEY FROM NORTHERNERS: I can't stop laughing! Seun has not banned you because of your criticism of the North, it is because of your unrepentant flooding of his forum with needless satellite images. Recall, many Nairalanders once called for your banning. Did they also collect money from Hausas? If speaking against Hausas is a reason Seun bans, Funmi(aka EM,DZ,RHC,PS) deserves more ban from Seun because I doubt if you are more hateful of the Hausas than her. (But something just came to my mind now, DZ, why do you use to change usernames? Were u banned also? If it's true you change your usernames because of banning, then Nigeria1's allegation that Seun has been bribed to kill off anti-North voices deserves a more serious look). But why we await response from DZ, I think it is very obvious that this NL cannot be a tool of the North as Becomerich is trying to point. If anything, the opposite would have made a better argument, giving teh clear fact that Hausas are at teh receiving end of most ethnic bashings here! I can remember sometime last year, one Hausa guy obviously bumped into this thread while surfing the internet and read all the anti-Hausa rantings. He quickly registered and started a thread, cursing the Yorubas, saying asaying many unprintable words against the Yorubas as dirty, lewd, fetish, cheap etc. The thread never lived for two days, as it was sent to the bin and the guy banned. A Seun, fronting for his alleged Hausa 'paymasters' would definitely have left such anti-Yoruba, pro-Hausa thread.
$100 This is the most laughable part of BecomeRich's allegations. Is Seun that cheap? How much is $100 for such exercise. It makes me remember when we were young, and we used to cruise around Popsy's car while he was away. Anytime he came back, our 4-year old brother, wanting to report us, will say "Daaddy, you see Brother Yinka drove your car. He now kicked it, went like this, like that and vooooomm!!!''. The exaggeration will make Daddy dismiss the little child as just playing, whereas he was saying the truth. That is the similitude of BR's $100 allegation. A bad job, I'll call it. You can do better packaging the allegation in a way that makes more sense than this.
SEUN  AS EARTHMAMA: This is also laughable. Seun is a self-confessed atheist, Earthmama is a 'Pastress'  Grin It is easy to discern people using the same usernames; their thinking, hence their opinions, will not change with the username. Seun and DZ are pole apart in their perception of things.

NUZO's TRIBUNAL: It further adds spice and some hilarity to this discussion. So people observe this much in NL. He was able to summarize each of those  those candidates in two lines. I support Kobojunkie(to me NL's most brilliant and objective political analyst) to chair the tribunal.

FRONT PAGE If not for the fact that allegation of corruption against forum owner(even if it's lie) will not be a palatable introduction to non-NL members just visiting the site, I think this topic is a frontpage topic that should not be hidden in one section. That way, landers who don't come to politics section can also lend their voices to the alleagtion against  The King!
