it great Nigeria's U20 beat the almighty Egypt two gaols to nil:- here's the news:- Goals from Kingsley Udoh and Yakubu Alfa got Ladan Bosso's Flying Eagles off to the best possible start in the African Youth Championships on Monday with a 2-0 win against Egypt.
Udoh headed in Alfa's cross early in the 35th minute, before Alfa himself profited from a sublime piece of work from substitute Gbolahan Salami to unleash an exquisite half volley.
In between Okeychukwu Uchebo had a goal inexplicably disallowed, and the Egyptians created opportunities of their own, the best being a penalty shout that was ignored by the referee after Matthew Edile scythed down an opponent in the box.
But it was the young Nigerians who created the better opportunities, despite a slow start.
Alfa had an early freekick saved by the goalkeeper, and Rabiu Ibrahim forced another fine save from the Egyptian goalkeeper with a curling effort.
Salami and Uchebo missed a succession of chances to put Nigeria out of sight, but the Flying Eagles kept it tight at the Save & Share back and claimed the win. At least this is the right motivation and a stepping stone to victory.
Kudos to Boso and the Boyz, but they should not under-rate the rest teams they have to play. http://www.kickoff.com/static/news/article.php?id=6266

Come all of you that are saying if those boyz are U25, why u no go ask our Late Yemi Tella of blessed memory wetin be una own? instead of praying for a good outing throughout their games in Rwanda, your saying they are above the age they claim to be? when super falcons go play Equtorial Quinea, why una no meet CAF say those babe be men among women playing females? hum, ? Go play football see as em dey sweet, u tink sa na come chop garri and ugbono soup? ageg make una learn to dey support naija and it'z afairs. Na ppl like una dey spoil Naija both in and out. come make una take time their ooooo!!! they boy missed so many goals ok, at least they won that is the most important thing, three points ahead with two goal diff. get this: it's not the number of goals that really count in football but the number of wins you have earned. at least i played soccer with a football academy in PH, so i know what it means to win a game away from home. Make they boy ride on, Good and well-meaning Naija pals are solidly behind them UP FLYING EAGLES!!!!!

Thank you staloone. Majority of "sports analysts" here just like complain-is it jealousy or what? The boys tried and won yet some ppl still dey complain that they over 60 yrs old. Was it not most of this guys that won the U-17 world cup?
Had they lost, it is the same buffons that will still complain. Instead of them to give these guys some credits, na so so complain, HABA!!!
Way to go Flying Eagles.
