Home Made Masks

Do you know that natural ingredients that can be found in your kitchen or in the market and do not cost so much can help you prevent acne?  Well, it is true. You can turn some fruits and some readily available ingredients into masks that would gradually help improve your skin. Here are some masks that you can easily prepare and use.

1. Fresh lemon juice: Apply this on your face and leave for about 15 minutes and then wash off with lukewarm water. Or you can mix the lemon juice with rose water and apply. Remember to use freshly squeezed lemon juice. Try using this twice a week and you are going to be amazed at the results.

2. Orange peel: Grind orange peel and mix with a little amount of water to form a paste and apply on your face for about 20 minutes. Rinse off with water.

3. Honey and Cinnamon powder: Mix natural (I said natural or original not sugar based honey) and a little amount of cinnamon powder (you can find it in the market where spices are sold) to form a paste. Apply on your face and leave for about 30-60 minutes. Wash off with water. Some people apply it on their face overnight. However I advice that if you are just trying it that you don’t allow it to stay on your face for more than 15 minutes. This is so that you can be sure you are not going to have any adverse reaction to it.

4. Garlic: This is so easy to do. Just cut a garlic finger in two and rub on the affected area at least once a day (if you can stand the smell). Rinse off after 30 minutes.

5. Paw paw juice: This involves using a juice extractor to get the juice. Apply the juice of a Paw paw (one that is fresh) on your acne for 30 minutes.

Well, that is just 5 out of natural acne masks that you can easily use without spending a lot (good news considering the financial crisis). The most important thing to remember is to avoid overusing these masks. Find one that suits your skin and stick to it (and not using everything at once).
