Mmh! Quite a list, and i haven't read even ONE of the 2000's. I must be way behind times  Wink I've read about 41 of the rest shaa - 17 of the 1900's, 33 of the 1800's, and 1 of the 1700's - Hyperion, wonderful sci-fi.

Gamine, where did u get this list? You said you've read only 25, so i know you didn't make it up yourselfGrin There are some books i was expecting to see on the list - like Stephen King's Tommyknockers (it's even better than The Shining), Michael Critchton's Jurassic Park, and Ursula Le Guin's Left Hand of God.

(B T W, #262 is Westward Ho!, not Worstward Ho - read it way back in secondary school - bunch of English sailors went on an expedition and spent the rest of the novel trying to fight their way back home. And #866 is Moby D i c k; Oga Seun's bad word snifter must've changed it to "Moby privates" Grin

3. No animal shall wear clothes.

4. No animal shall sleep in a bed.

Les Miserables was hot. If you only read that from the whole lot, then you can die happy. Wink. Seriously tho', the list is very long, can anyone read the whole lot even if they live to be 200? I think not. But anything by Mark Twain, Charles Dickens n Alexandre Dumas are worth reading, and keeping, till u reach your ripe old age of 102. Grin. As for most of the others, you can live (and die, lol) very well off without them. Tongue
