I have a hard disk (20g) that i have been working properly. Suddenly, i cannot no longer save anything on it. It suddenly stops saving . Please can anybody tell me what to do? Or is buying a new one the anwer?

I don't have much information to work with here but i suggest you do a scandisk or chkdsk first on the hard drive to ensure it isn't failing on your.
Update your virus definitions too to ensure a virus isn't doing the harm
Finally cross check the permissions on the drive/folder with the user id you are logged in as

Assuming you can boot from the hard disk, then the best thing to do is to get a new hard disk and then copy all the data on your current hard disk to the new one. After that, you can try formatting it to see if it'll start working normally again. Chances are that it will not.
What's the error you get when you try to save on your hard disk? Without knowing that, we can't help.

my computer can boot up normally. seems to be perfect. but i cannot savr anything. Ny anti-virus is up to date. I use AVG 7.1

going for new hard disk might be too expensive ,if u must save ur files somewhere u can still back up ur files to some cd through ur writer ,but i suggest u try shaiguy advice first ,if it doesnt work ,then back up ur important fgiles to some cd and format ur pc ,hopefuly it would solve the probelm,then u would restore ur files ,good luck man .

This incident might be a warning that your hard disk is close to failure. Download the program "HDD Health" to find out how long your hard disk is going to last so you don't lose any more data in the near future.
