Technocrats Not Politicians For 2007
« on: September 06, 2006, 01:27 PM »

Nigeria is a blessed country and her people are talented and well cultured. However, recent and past events show that some people are not meant to be in power in Nigeria. Am not an advocate of regional presidency or tribal politics here.It seems to me that the old politicians and their co-travelers are the main problem of Nigeria. The new breed of Nigerian politicians(Technocrats) seem to be better positioned now  to build a virile and strong Nigeria. It is on record that people like Mallam Nasir El Rufai, Prof (Mrs) Dora Nkem Akunyili,Dr (Mrs) Obiageli Ezekwesili, Dr (Mrs) Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala and even Mallam Nuhu Ribadu who are not politicians(Technocrats) so to say, are the ones making headways in The Project called Nigeria, none of the old breeds politicians have been able to meet the standards set by these nigerians either before now or even during the time these records were set.
It is ironical to hear and see old fashioned and ideal deficient old politician who still want to pour out their rancid ideals and way of doing things. It is high time we allowed the technocrats lead us and lets see a new nigeria.
A new nigeria where every body would be proud to be called a nigerian.
A new nigeria where nations of the world will respect and not downplay us
A new nigeria whose leader understand world politics and intrigues.
A new Nigeria that will be seen by all to have paid its dues in international arena
A new nigeria where no child will go to bed hungry
Howbeit, the old politicians have tried their very best and in my view need not pollute the the system the more as we approach 2007. It is said that, the past affects the present and even the future, but since we have understood our past and at present combating the present, those that rubbish the past should not be part of those that want to repair the present and put right the future, let those that know the theory and practice of governance put us in the right path.
