This is how I rate the stations in Abuja according to which one i listen to the most:
Cool FM 96.9
Hot FM 98.3 (nice station but they overdo their self-promotion jingles. and the way they announce songs before they play them really sucks. radio should be about spontaenousity not programed playlists)
Ray power 100.5
Crowther 104.5
Rhythm 94.7 (poor signals making me not to listen to em often. hardly have call in programs. not many guest on air because their office is hard to reach[on a rock])
Kapital FM 92.9
Aso Radio 93.5

I'll rate them in this order
1. Hot F.M 98.3 one of the newest but dey re really doing a gr8 job.
2. Cool F.M 96.9 rocks real good, I found it real hard deciding who really rulez
3. Ray Power 100.5 shifting gradually to the capital city from Lagos where they have a strong base
4. Kapital F.M 92.9 doing quite gr8 despite been owned by th FG
5. Crowther F.M 104.5 d newest baby in the industry and still in d infancy stage
6. Aso Radio 93.5 one of d first radio station in dis part and just fizzled out when strong contenders came in.

96.9 Coolfm is the best in the nation, no doubt. they have the best jingles, best presenters, they play the best songs, everything they do is the best. every other station comes second. i listen to no other station but the Cool Station. my best presenter here in Abuja is Rimini (although she's left the country now), followed by Nike but overall my favourite presenter is Olisa. he just has a way of presenting with ease and he really knows what he's talking about. i like a presenter who can not only present music and other stuff but can also tell me a little about what i'm listening to. all the other stations just play music and are completely clueless as to what the music or musician is all about. Lakeside is also alot of fun. i LOVE!! his craziness and wackiness.
i normally don't like listening to the news but Coolfm has a chasis way of presenting it to people that i actually look forward to listening to the news.

I agree with trae-z's order of preference. Cool fm rocks! Sometimes i wonder where they get their jams and they really remind of good old days and fond memories.

Well, seems u gyz nid to be updated! Rhythm's now in the city center.affording thm better reception. They also seem to be the bomb cos' they'v got such gr8 presenters. Cools cool, I like thm too,but i think RHYTHM's goine to gv thm a run 4 their money! Hot!? they stink!!!!!!

I felt HOT FM 98.3 Stormed Abj well when they first came, i dunno wan think anyone is gonna change my orientation from listening to this station coz they're based in abj, and i get much info 4rm around moi.
Aside that their presenters are hot.
