Their is no pastor that does not fell sick, but they only use faith to say that they are very strong, and mind you the Bible says, " As a MAN thinketh, so he is" so they think positively and not negatively, which is the source of their strength, and it keep them going in life.

Elijah fell sick, Zachariah, Paul, Moses  and so many prophet in the Bible also fell sick but they remain strong in faith

My humble submission:

Yes! Real Pastors (like every of God's children) fall sick; but Real Pastors (like every of God's children) ought not to fall sick.

Do they?

Yes they do!

Should they?

No they ought not to!

well, Hence this is an imperfect world and hence the Pastor is in flesh and Blood,
why wont he fall sick like every other imperfect flesh like him.
is just that some of them pretend, to deceive other.
they definitely should fall sick sometimes

when i was in Unical, i remember reinhhard bonnke came for a crusade that lasted several days, he preached all those nights, on the night i went ( i guess the 3rd or 4th night) he had sore throat from restless preaching all through the week. now is he fake?  Cheesy tell me somebody?

if you say a pastor cant be sick, because they are gods or sons of God, then perhaps you may well say they cant die. they cant get hungry, they dont go to toilet Grin and they should not "hammer" their wifes (and/or concubines Grin ) to get children. . . yes. . . .after all they can pray for children to descend like the virgin mary episode. they should not travel by flight or use the internet b/c espirito santo will show them everthing they may want from the internet.

nigerians and religion Grin who una think say those pastors be sef? Cool

Lets have a litmus test, KDK should come to me And I will inject him with 2ml of HIV infected blood. He should not take any medication henceforth and we'll see in the next five years if we can continue the discussion with him. We will all believe then.

hmmmm KDK, do not cast your pearls before swine. You cannot make everyone understand. You know the truth and trying to convince people won't work because this issue goes beyond the natural.
The truth is that REAL Pastors like all real SONS of God are not mere men but are gods, sons of the one true God.
We are not subject to a lot of things and sickness and disease is one of them. By the stripes of Jesus we are healed. Sometimes we forget this and do not take our rightful place in the world.

As Jesus bore away our sins he also bore away disease and suffering for those that will accept him as Lord ans Saviour. When u feel sickness or disease coming upon you do you reach for God or reach for the hospital??

It's not this simple but it's a faith issue. About Paul, it was said that he had a thorn which God allowed to be with him to teach him how the grace of God was sufficient in his life and with the grace he could do much more than he ever could imagine.

Point is Pastors getting ill is a spiritual matter. If u believe they do fine and if you believe they don't fine too what's most important is when you read the Bible and it tells you that sickness has no authority over you do you think that's a lie?? Remember that the Word of God cannot be broken.

Lawuyi,I understand your plight jare, even the bible confirmed it in

1 Corinthians 2:6-10

6We do, however, speak a message of wisdom among the mature, but not the wisdom of this age or of the rulers of this age, who are coming to nothing. 7No, we speak of God's secret wisdom, a wisdom that has been hidden and that God destined for our glory before time began. 8None of the rulers of this age understood it, for if they had, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory. 9However, as it is written:
   "No eye has seen,
      no ear has heard,
   no mind has conceived
what God has prepared for those who love him"— 10but God has revealed it to us by his Spirit.
The Spirit searches all things, even the deep things of God.

whether fake or not, pastors are human being like u and me.

when the body is stress up and not well taken care off, the pastor will break down though the Lord is our strength.

also when the body lack vitamins the body will break down

as doctors fall sick, so also pastor fall sick.

it has nothing 2 do with fake or real

The apostle who penned down 1 Corinthians 2:6-10 did not teach anywhere that pastors (or 'men of God') do not fall sick. As a matter of fact, even he himself experienced sickness, and he was not ashamed to admit it (Gal. 4:13); nor was he ashamed to mention clearly that some of his fellowlabourers in the Gospel also experienced sickness in their bodies (Trophimus - 2 Tim. 4:20; Epaphroditus - Php. 2:25-26; and Timothy - 1 Tim. 5:23 ['frequent illnesses' - Darby tr. et al]).

It is not out of ignorance that Christians fall sick; for we are yet in our earthly bodies which are still subject to pain, sweat, hunger, thirst, old age, decay, and death.

At the return of Christ, our bodies shall be changed to His glorious body and not subject to any of such things (Php. 3:21). Those of us who enjoy divine health today are thankful to God; but it does not therefore mean that we have become super-spiritual to other Christians who have laboured much more and have experienced illness or infirmities.

If a Christian at this present time is so super-spiritual that he CANNOT ever fall sick, neither should he die! To claim "divine health" and yet grow old and die is a slander to the very claim of never falling sick. When old age comes, apply the same formula and confess your skin back to youth! Grin
