@sam, i respect you anytime. It is just that nairalanders are fond of selling what is free - and some of us find it very irritating. I mean, i am a web developer / programmer, but i give some free tutorials whenever i can - and i still make some money.
But if you ask for a solution and i know it is free somewhere, i will point you to it (no big deal) - but i will never go and download free stuffs and start selling it all over the place - that is ole!!

This is a foolish post, a scam if I may vent. For those who want to design, host and code a forum like Nairaland I will give you a free seminar ASAP. 1. Learn HTML, PHP, CSS and MySQL www.w3schools.com2. You can skip step 1. and get a free host at www.proboards.com3. You can skip step 2. and Download Ubuntu Linux, install apache2, php, mysql, webmin, rapache 4. Download phpb5 and install it on your server created in step 3. 5. You go to dnydns and get a web subdomain 6. You will end up with a website like www.global.webhop.net/wordpress or www.global.webhop.net/music7. You can be more adventurous and download Joomla, wordpess and mediawiki modules My point is that we should foster the sharing, not selling of information. Encourage the young africans that they only need www.google.com and the programming would is in their palm. C'est la vie |
