i just came in here
its so nice seeing poets everywhere
not anywhere so far
but somewhere near,
where i perceive no fear.
i saw nilla,franks
and some names i cant remember.
maybe when we start painting our words
in september
then we can proceed doing that till december.
maybe by then friendships would have started running on our heads
without knowing no weather,
woo i m tired, my head cant boot
i need to sleep and glance thru my favourite book.
will catch you guys later in our moving lu,

Wow! Franc you are a real poet. I like your sense of humour and choice of words, the rythm and ryme. Think we can do an anthology. What do u say? Please call 08038781797 or e-mail cosine37@yahoo.com

My African child

My African child
So young in heart
I cry for help
Morning and night
Every night I look out
My window to see the stars
And the moon and I say to my self
When are am my going to be
Free from this hill
Most of the nights I sleep
Out side or in friends house
My family did not boarder
To ask me to come back home
I cry loud for help but know answer.

Land of Hope

There were you, once in a time
Midst of the Valleys, full of shades
Full of roasts, wired with roots
With molten trees, rot to death
While the spillage damaged your veins
You can't breath, even with jokes

There were you, once in a time
About to run, but the sky is dark
Darkness reign, no where to run
Hosts tempting you, hard with clout
But you always, answer with nerve
They lead you all, the way down
Down down, to a deadly end
You cry cry, and cry
But they cannot hear you cry

Those that hear can't even tempt
Unless you wake, the wonders on
You have blessed, the right with care
The left enjoy, your open gates
The center, you blessed with peace
Up the land, you spread your dream
You cry cry, and cry
But they can't hear you cry

Those that hear can't even tempt
Unless you wake, the wonders on
Now is time, for you to take your pride
Share your blessings, with the guarded hosts
Peace shall reign, and evil shall perish
The Light shall come, and stay forever with you

Who can guess the meanings of my Poem, it has a big message in it.

RHYTHM

Glide,

Sway,

Twist.

Northward,

South,

West to East.

Alerts via Wind,

Urges vibrating Strings,

Eyes with brimming Tears,

Vocals inspired to Sing.

Soft Bellows,

Soul Stirring,

Of Congo drums,

And Kora strings.

Beckons to me,

Beckons to you,

Hypnotic spells of Music's Rhythm.

Home

Heals a shattered dream
Down by a running stream
Have A fill of ice cream.

From far faraway, a light beams
Drifting care freely between winning teams
Rays of hope gleams.

Fortune smiles on me

The eyes that sees,
The hands that feels.

I hear music, playing
I see bells, ringing,

I feel the heart beating,

To the sound of music.

I rejoiced when I heard them say,

Let us go home.

I luv poetry!
Especially, when its flowing like lottery

But, the minutes mock my writing block
I want to bid each ticking clock
To stop the ticking and to lock

You may ask if you note
Why the lines i just wrote
are not broken by rhyme into rows.

                                                                             I'm a rhyme freak
watch out for more during the week.

Ooooh! i almost forgot i made a promise
Please, i'm not a tortoise

Who committed a sin
And thought he was never seen

The long arm of the law
Caught him and brought it to fore

He was tried before a judge
which he attempted to dodge

He was thrown into a cesspit
Which all deemed fit

He was there a long time
And never complained of the smelling mine

Until he saw someone coming
To release him in the morning

''Hurry'' Tortoise mouthed
''The stench down here is unbearable'' he shouted.

How do you pronounce the name maedan
Really, its sound like something from an indian clan

Please, i'm not been sarcastic
Just trying to be realistic

Thanks for your comment
If i don't perform, it will be a real torment

Reading me, like a prize?
Hope this won't swell my size

Food to the eyes?
For that, we need to throw a dice

Hope, i won't disappoint you
I promise to deliver as at when due.

Now i get a clearer picture
The combination has a fine texture

This is dedicated to you and Dan
To appease mentioning the Indian clan

We are all contemporaries
There is only a difference in our memories
You can almost always tell
A giraffe from a gazelle
But you can't tell people apart
Especially when they are alert
We have been such as draw
The losing straw
You of your gentleness
I of my rashness
Both of despair
Yet still might share
This happy will
To love despite and still

At times i get carried away
Don't mind me even if i stray

To all those that beleive in love
You can't beleive problems it will solve
Special dedication to MAE & DAN
Whose combination remains MAEDAN

I see your smile
And all seem worthwhile
In your eyes there is light
To brighten up my dark night
You are gay and you fill my life with joy
I'm like a child with a new toy
Very excited and curious
But sometimes destructive and furious
Thank you so much for your love
It's like a nice soft warm glove.

I'm a gentleman, a scholar
A man who does not holler!!!!!

No seriously, real gentlemen are hard to find!

And when they've got the right frame of mind . . .

Makes a girl feel like she's struck a gold mine!!

Maedan, you have a way with words
It fascinates and really influence my thoughts
Gentlemen, hard to find?
I see one anytime i look behind
Can we say same for ladies?
Especially those born in the eighties

There is a fly in every ointment
on every foot there is a corn
For every joy - a disappointment
on every rose - a hidden thorn

On every purchase there's a tax
And in my great romance with Sax
            i got the ax

Because non quo
           Has been her status
It's hard to know
           Just what her fate is

meexteriox you are straying
go on your knees, and start praying!!!!

Just A Feather Added.

You guys are great
Yuv woken my heart from passionate slumber
There's only one road to sail

On miracle of words to take a flight.
To soar high, high and high.
Unwinding my heart 2 bcome light
Coasting home in uncomplex ride.

Now my heart romances peace.
With pals like u I'l be at ease.
Baking and rebaking my thoughts for feast.
