My Systm Cant See Ethernet Card After Formating It.

I formatted my system and re installed it back with the CD that came with it, but the systen is no more seeing the ethernet card and the card is onboard. the system is hp branded dx2300.
is asking for the drivers? and i dont av it, i tried to download but av not been successful with dat
anybody wit an idea on wat to do
