Today,a customer care rep. called me cus i filled in a form requesting for 3g activation.
Once i saw the nmbr i new immediately it wasnt an ordinary nmbr it ended with bout 6 zero's.
She told me up front that ZAIN 3G IS ONLY FOR POSTPAID SUBCRIBERS,thats why when u choose UMTS mode on your phones,d 3g service coms 4 a sec then goes away leaving your phone without service.
I told her bout a 3g sim that c.care peaps sell,
She replied,what they are doing its nt PERMITTED by zain,those sim are for ppl who PURCHASE ZAIN DATA CARD ONLY an nt for any1.
She also zain 3g covers almost 88% of lag bt cn only b seen n used by POSTPAID subscribers only.

M not in lagos but i do get zain connection speed of 22kb/s during d nite with edge but during d day its always moving like a tortoise my highest speed will be around 3.5 - 4kb/s.zain's connectivity during d day has dropped.dont know if dis is a new development.
