this is not a lie! i was a victim of this a few days ago, and i tell u it is the worst thing ever. i had to register on this site just to comment on this. I still have the scars on my body to show for it. Scars from where i was pushed, pulled, hit. i only narrowly escaped and i still have nightmares about what they could have done to me if they had driven me away in their "bus". I am a professional, was fully dressed, talking to my boyfriend in the car after having dinner, and no this doesnt only happen on the mainland, it was in victoria island! just felt i needed to say something since a lot of you seem to think its something out of a nollywood movie.

In Nigeria, Jamaica and places like these you gotta be like James Bond. If yur living in NGA get a small 9mm like walther ppk or mini stubby revolver becos things can get rough. You cannot afford to shine too much so watch how you shine. Dont be flashy cos the police always go for the bigmoney peeps. If you can get military license plates or stickers that say Nigerian Army or Navy or Airforce get them cos they can help you disguise yurself. Hide yur money in secret compartments in yur personal vehicles. Mine favorite secret compartment is under my drivers seat in the foam of the chair. I only keep maybe 500 naira in my wallet and no credit cards in the wallet whatsoever. I also disguise my vehicle like a company issued vehicle, fake company logo, so they think I am a driver even though I have a nice place in Festac area. It is experience of 48hrs in Bariga police station that induced me to create this escape tactics and police arrest prevention technique. Always have 50 naira for every check point if things go bad and if they stop you. Depending on what kind of vehicle youR driving. If your driving Japenese 30 is good but German luxury 50 is a must. Use your money to save yur life. I am even trying to set up a private security military contractor business in Nigeria that will also teach self-defense and threat deterence. My email is shaarjo@yahoo.ca contact me if you have the skills and experience.

Well said except the 9mm part.If they know you have that on you, you'll go down in a hail of bullets (even if it's licensed).They'll say you tried to rob them of their guns (that's the typical story that replaced the older "accidental discharge story).Army stickers don't work anymore.Everyone has those these days.

@mccloud,
If you are in that situation or about to enter the situation what are gonna do. I am just trying to give the peoples some hope. To help them survive the difficult environment. OK. The 9mm is a weapon of last resort. You dont have to be trigger itchy. You can hide the subcompact 9mm in you panties (for men) or bra(for women). Its like neighbourhoods being occupied by foreign legalized robbery gangs called police and thief. So you gotta use yur crafty Nigerian brain to escape cos they outnumber you. If you gonna use military stickers drive a military "looking" vehicle to match. How many of you have gun or firearms? Talk less of know how to use them. You gotta decide to talk your way out of the mess or fight yur way out cos if they handcuff you just know you mostly likely gonna sleep in police cell till they find N150 000 to bail yu out.

The Nigerian police is the main source of our political problems @Ben 10 COMPLETELY WRONG. Nigerians are the main source of their problems (both political and economic).The typical Nigerian exploits any situation they find themselves in and this includes the work they do.For example, a lawyer will keep a dismissible case pending in court for several years so that the defendant will keep dropping money for him/her till thy kingdom come.Doctors will recommend unnecessary admission into a hospital,put you on unseeded medication and even experiment on you through surgery. . . all to make money.Civil engineers do quack projects.Just look out the infrastructure in this country.Is that what you see in other countries?Look at the buildings,the roads,the hospitals.Almost everything is a quack job. Same thing goes for the quack police force.They have guns and they can shoot anyone in broad daylight and get away with it (accidental discharge).Everyday people complain about the NPF but all of you with the police are the same thing (OPPORTUNISTS).The only difference is you have better options.If you were wearing that police uniform, you cannot do any better.You will all be worse off even. NIGERIANS ARE ALL GREEDY OPPORTUNISTS and yes, i am generalizing! ! !How many of you here will turn down the opportunity to share Abacha's stolen billions or trillions? Ehh? Even you so-called born again Christians and moslems.How many of you hypocrites would turn down the opportunity?You are all thieves and the NPF is the product of what you all are.Simple as that. In between, i feel sorry for those people that were victimized.My heart goes out to you except the MARRIED woman who parked her car with a "friend" of her's inside in the middle of the night.Honestly, which kain friendship be that?Talk about karma. Wetin married woman dey "discuss" with another man inside vehicle?And it wasn't in motion.It was parked! Hmmm.All these "friendships sef.Na so people go dey deceive themselves.If person talk now, dem go say na "insecurity". Na wa oooo!

Nigeria sucks donkey ass BIG TIME! ! !

WE ARE TOO DAMN CRIPPLED TO FIGHT BACK. ALL I HEAR ABOUT IS HOW EVERY BODY WATCHES IN FEAR. I HATE NIGERIA @finemocha I feel you jare.The thing is Nigerians themselves are not willing to move forward.Sometimes when i think about, i feel Nigerians LOVE things as they are.The most they prefer doing is complaining.Matter of fact, the only people doing anything about it are the media houses (TV,Radio and newspapers).There are a few activists still alive but are Nigerians willing to take the bull by the horns? If a young activist arises from no where today and rallies the youth against the atrocities of the government, it's those same youths that will go behind him to collect money from the elite and silence him through assassination.How many true activists do you know that have lived long in this country (except Gani and Soyinka who both went to jail and almost died there).If someone arises from the west, the northerners and easterners will say "why should it be someone from there" and it's vice versa.We spend so much time fighting over tribal ethnicity rather than deal with pressing issues.The truth is those in power don't give two sh*ts about tribe.Money is money and that is all they care about.They only time they play the tribalistic card is when the want to manipulate shallow minded Nigerians who swallow the scam "hook,line and sinker" e.g if an Efik man was president and did half of the nonsense Obasanjo did, this country would have broken up years ago but the westerners will say "na our person" and the northerners will say "we put him there, he is with us" and so we remain crippled and toothless. Take the 2 year judgment against Bode A.K.A thieving George.In other countries, the people would have come out in violent protest against such a light sentence.That man should have been either executed or given life imprisonment plus 700 years.That is how it should be but what do you see today?People are trooping out en-masse to "sympathize with him in kirikiri.Area boys and other thugs that benefited from him have been rampaging over there.What does that tell you?NIGERIANS ARE NOT READY TO MOVE FORWARD.All they like is "talk talk" and that is why this country will continue to be in this state for the next 200 years (minimum) or when the oil finishes, everybody will break away.I mean face it, the only reason why Nigeria is still together is because of the oil money.Oil money is the backbone of PDP politics.No oil, No PDP. That's Nigeria for you babe. Nuff said.
