the only times i need to close my eyes to concentrate is when i'm listening to many people talk at the same time and I want to keep track of all the conversations. If my eyes are open, I tend to focus only on the people I can see. If I close them, I can concentrate on all the different conversations. Every other situation requires my eyes to be open for me to fully concentrate - there is almost no other situation which does not benefit from my visual observation.
