I am not fond of Nigerian homevideos but sometimes when I watch them I just get sick,  all the girls are so fat that they are almost shapeless, their chubby bellies piss me off so much that I even switch off the TV screen. The men are almost disgusting as well. Especially when they show their nasty tommies on screen like they were the best in the world. You guys are always talking about the beautiful aspects but also remember that there is also the other face of the medallion. For how unpleasant it is, it is just we talk about it.  There are threads: criticizing the personality of the actors, their acting, their dressing and all kind of stuff. If you think that what really matters is the inside of people then why should you be pissed off when there are criticism about the physical appearance? Spare me this rubbish and move out!

I dont think being in shape (to the extent that stars in the west are)is a requirement in Nollywood, or for you to be star in Nollywood, how many ordinary Nigerians actually take regular exercise for the sake of excercise, or have a gym membership even?, its mainly the face I think,which determines beauty in Nollywood. Come to think if it many African people like people who others will consider out of shape.

Well considering that most actors dream of moving to Hollywood, they had better start working out! I also don't agree with the HW standards of beauty. I believe in curvy and sexy women rather than stick and bones woalking being! Just llok at J. Lo and Beyoncè. They are very pretty and sexy!

I have never meant to talk about anyone as objects. But don't also objectified when we judge someone by its beauty. This was meant to be a fun thread and not an oppurtunity to throw insults at ourselves.

Secondly I am very liberal about surgery and don't condemn anyone who has gone for it. Sometimes it's the only solution left. I also have some probs with my tighs and I want to try to work out and see if i can reduce them but if I don't succeed I might go for plastic surgery as well. Never say never.

Thirdly I have never mentioned any skinny actress. I am always for the curvy and sexy ones. I myself am curvy and I like it though I want to reduce my tigh circonference. As soon as I can I'll subsribe to a gym and start working out. I can't and refuse to beleive that nigerian stars don't have enough money to subscribe to a fitness center. That would be a big time lie. I can understand if they haven't got enough time (considering the amount of movies they act in a month). I know that it takes a lot of time and energy to get in shape and mantain it but I can't sympthise with anyone who has never given a try and comes on screen to "pose".

If they had tried and didn't succeed in getting fit or didn't even make an attempt then they should stop:
- wearing skinny clothes and tight pants that show their shapeless figures
- showing their nude bodies. This is especially addressed to the so-called sugar daddies. Pot belly aren't pleasant to see.

Dont know why you people are ganging up on michelin. She's right for the most part, alot of the customer designers for Nollywood actors/actresses are out of their mind. The worst is when they are trying to have the actress play the part of a younger person/student they have them dress in these disgusting;y tight clothes that just show the bad shape. Take Euchoria for instance, most of the time they have her dress like some clown hooker and she looks TERRIBLE. I love her as an actress cos I think she's talented but recently she has gotten way bigger yet the dressing has hardly changed. Same with Clarion Abiola in certain roles.

You can have people play the whole "young woman" and "sugar mommy" roles without having them dress so gross. Take "old Skool" for example, for Patience, she had to act the role of a sugar mommy and she did it well, had the whole afro going with nice jeans and tops, you could tell the kind of role they wanted her to do and she didnt look like an eyesore in the process

btw Omotola and her four children, still looks good. In her interviews she talks about the workouts that she does, so the others really dont have the much of an excuse. It's one thing for the older actor/actresses but the younger ones, haba, they need to work on it.

However mechlin, you've made this thread before and most people agreed with you about the actresses not taking care of themselves body wise, so why are you repeating yourself?
