It's funny when people think we should throw away all we've held dear and pick up Western values in the name of civilization. Being an image of the US would only work out to our peril. We should be proud of what we have.

Don't you see a serious conflict of interest here?

On the one hand, you're praying for better economic situation in Nigeria.  But on the other hand, you don't want to do the things that other countries do to raise money.

Quit complaining about your miserable life, unless you're ready to wise up and learn about economics.

It's not your way of life because you're backward thinking. You need exposure on how the successful world lives, which is - in freedom.

I prefer a society that has everything. By letting people make their own choices in life, instead of making it for them via censorship and dictatorship, you'd be breeding independent thinkers. The power of independent thinking and freedom of choice is what leads to a great nation.

Nigerians are best in producing Epic movies than pornographic movies. We better stop copying the Western culture.

and what they do best is probably not the right thing to do,  so why going along someones step,  all because it is being liked, not because its got some negative part of it is so harmful.

Very good question.

Nigerians aren't a matured enough bunch to let people do whatever they please.  That's why we're still referred to as third world.  In most developed nations, nobody cares what you do with your life, as long as you're not breaking the law.

this has nothing to do with being local, it's all about your values. our african values don't give room for such, and I see no reason why we should throw our values away in d name of civilization. Polygamy isn't allowed in the West because they don't believe in it, why don't people go and argue that men have the right to have 5 wives. It's their culture and even muslim (and others with such orientations) immigrants comply with it.

I don't see how going porno will improve our economy. The Western values we need to imbibe to improve our situation are not in conflict with ours. I'm not against anything Western, as long as we don't lose our identity. Let's copy the things that will move us forward. There are sooooo many great things to copy from them.

You don't see how a multi-billion dollar a year industry will help improve your economy?  You must not be looking closely enough, or perhaps you just don't know what to look for?

Do your people have prostitutes in Nigeria?  If so, what's the difference between a prostitute and a porno actor?

Let me give all you a dose of reality, whether you like it or not Porno is coming to Africa, by way of Nigeria, Ghana, south Africa etc. So better get use to it. It's a billion dollar industry and Nigerians need the money. Imagine they are paying girls around $300 to $500 dollars per scene, now tell me isn't that a lot of money when you convert it to Naria? Meanwhile take a look at this Yansh. I know many of you will like to yansh that.

I think porn will not be welcomed by Nigerians because it will go further to make kids that are not 18 yet become easily sex active and it can easily aid the spread of "HIV/AIDS" in the country which the GLOBAL WORLD is trying to eradicate

We already have lots of porno in Nigeria.  I don't buy it, but I think it's healthy for people to be able to express themselves sexually using porn, sex toys, or whatever.  When people are sexually frustrated, they start fighting.
