Give me a break. Yorubas/Igbos/Edos weren't really fighting that much before the white man came, people lived in relative peace and co-operated when there was need for it. You don't have much on record about this tribe killing that tribe and so on.

I don't see Onitsha people having long strifes with Obosi or Oraifite having strifes with Nnewi. These are neighbours, if they have been fighting historically, you will be able to see signs of it. I don't see it and neither do you. Igbo people don't have any sort of hatred of Ijaw or Edo people, again there wasn't any major tribal hatred going on.


Don't be an idiot, show me something that points to there being tribalism in Nigeria prior to colonization. Go ahead!, Most of these groups with the exception of Bini and the Northerners lived as autonomous communities. They were self sufficient and didn't have much need for conquering others. In a place like Igboland where there were few monarchs, what will be the reason for an Ozubulu man to invade Oraifite? Ihiala man invading Orlu? , Such a thing didn't make sense until the British came and put people in groups for easy management. "Hey you're Igbo, you're Hausa, the next man is Yoruba. See you're different with different goals, you can never work together."

For the record, i don't know much about Manifest destiny. The deduction below is based on my research from history books and the internet. Relating it to colonization is just a personal conclusion.

Manifest Destiny

The doctrine of Manifest destiny has been the modus operandi of the European colonizer. It was given a name and a rationale by John L. O'Sullivan

In his words:

I believe the Europeans thought and to some extent, still believe the world is theirs, given to them by providence hence the expansion. If the premise is true, then Uche2nna was right. Its all about economics. It might not be apparent at the beginning but they sure know how to exploit the opportunity. Thats the same ideology behind Iraqi invasion by the Bush administration.

John Hawkyns initiated English slave trade in 1562. Hawkyns took three ships to Sierra Leone, secured some 300 slaves mainly by capturing them from Portuguese vessels, brought them across the Atlantic to Hispaniola, and sold them for a handsome profit. You can make up your own deduction. I try as much as i could to avoid generalizing. Until someone come up with a scientific proof that link behavior to skin color, i will remain a believer of tabula rasa.

I was watching smack DVD today and i was pissed at the way the AA were conducting them selves. they were all braging about how much power a person exerts on the streets by the number of guns he carries, telling the little ones that the power of sucess in life lies in the bullet instead of education and knowledge, am a living proof that crime pays was what one of the gansters was saying on TV. the other one came and was braging that he has 4 baby mamas and how he was making too much money from selling crack.rapping about it to the apulauses of his ganster mates.

There were intertribal wars my grandfather used to tell us stories.

I try to look at everything from a wholistic perspective.

But pertaining to this topic "Black and white, we are are one" That is complete utter bullshit.

If blacks are not one with each other, they are not and can't possibly be one with anyone else. Sure, a mixed child black and white is a fused version of black and white as one person but that person is neither one race black or white alone, they are both. However, they can choose to be one or the other, wheather their choice is sincere or not they would only know.

Bottom line, blacks don't need to be occupying their minds with being one in terms of white people with all the problems they have. White people are doing just fine, they could care less if black people claim them as a part of them or not.

White slaves were referred to as indentured servants in those days. In 1718, Parliament passed the Transportation Act, allowing judges in England, Scotland, and Ireland to send convicted felons to American colonies. Between 1718 and 1775, the courts shipped approximately fifty thousand convicts across the Atlantic. Some of these men an women may actually have been dangerous criminal, but the majority seem to have committed minor crimes against property. Although transported convicts - almost 75 percent of whom were young male - escaped the hangman. They were sold in the Chesapeake colonies as indentured servant.

The treatment they received were not demeaning when compared to that of blacks and their servitude was temporary. Nonetheless, they were slaves ~ Not of equal status with the elites.

Your belief in the white man as the closest thing to God is unbelievable and sad in this day and age. Do you think the white man is that clever that he can just pop out of the blue and invent a whole entire computer? All of the inventions you mentioned are American Inventions. Don't you know, if you know this or not but Early America consisted of first Native Americans, descendants of African slaves and the white European thieves who stole America. Most of the Natives were killed off, leaving the descendants of African slaves and their former slave master. You should no this information because it was black people who were the slaves, so they were the ones who laid the early foundation to all American inventions. They had to invent different ways to make their already many laborious non paid jobs less of a drudgery.

The first washing machine invented was the (wash board) the man who patented this invention in 1797 was a white man named James King. Only James king couldn't have been the inventor because this was during the slave era and white people didn't wash no clothes, their slaves did all the washing cooking etc. So why would a white man be responsible for that particular invention? Notice this white man didn't invent this wash board he just patented it. In 1858, Hamilton Smith a white man, he patented the rotary washing machine. These men only patented these early invented washing machines, they were not the inventors, it was a black slave who invented those early washing machines that laid the foundation for the washing machines you see to this day. When and invention is patented, that means who ever patented it, they get paid a royalty for the invention, it doesn't mean they are the inventor, especially during the times of slavery.

Under the United States patent laws of 1793 and 1836, both slaves and freedman could patent their inventions. However, in 1857, a slave-owner named Oscar Stuart patented a "double cotton scraper" that was invented by his slave. Historical records only show the real inventor's name as being Ned. Stuart's reasoning for his actions was that, "the master is the owner of the fruits of the labor of the slave both manual and intellectual". In 1858, the US. patent office changed  the patent laws, in response to the Oscar Stuart vs Ned case, in favor of Oscar Stuart. Their reasoning was that slaves were not citizens, and could not be granted patents. But surprising in 1861, the Confederate States of America passed a law granting patent rights to slaves. In 1870, the US.government passed a patent law giving all American men including blacks the rights to their inventions.

So you see, there is no telling how many other inventions by black people white people get paid for and take credit for inventing. Slavery ended in 1874 eleven years after slavery ends a legit patented and invention of a full capacity wash machine by a white man named William Blackstone takes place. Isn't that interesting? White people now have to wash their own clothes and they want the job to be as easier as possible. At this time, it is forgotten that that black slave, most likely a woman, laid the foundation for the first washing machine ever invented.

Why is this important information? It is important to know because you will be able to see that blacks/Africans also contributed to all of the American inventions you named. Before Africans came to America as slaves, they were already inventing things in Africa - so Africans were already inventors. Africans, they built the pyramids, invented the plow, calendar, first paper papyrus, constructed organized labor to build the pyramids, early writing hieroglyphic writings, the sail boat, math, sun dial which was the first clock known, medicine, The key and lock,  Art which has been stolen and placed in white owned museums. Africans are responsible for perfecting the Ivory Bronze and Terra-cotta sculptures, they domesticated the coffee plant. Zimbabwe thrived during the gold trade and the Zulus as well as the Ashanti had great military strategies. Africans did all of these things before white people came and interrupted the system Africans had. Africans have an even higher IQ than white people and they were and are great inventors. Some of those Africans those great and brilliant inventors, they came across the Atlantic and ended up in America as slaves to white people. Many of the inventions Africans in America invented, they did not always get the credit for but we know that those great inventors were in a foreign land where their needs had changed, where their labors had become more extensive. Work being so hard led them to become the inventor or contribute to inventions like the first ironing board, the refrigerator, the washing machine the automobile and even the computer,  Africans had to be the ones responsible for laying the foundation to early American inventions because they were the ones who did all the work.

The skin thing is all but falacy, the white people has relatively white skin because of radiation from the sun light which the skin tends to feel more because of the extreem contrast in their Winter and Summer wheather, and this same level of radiatin would have felt normal in a tropical country because the skin would have had enough time to produce enough melanin to protect itself from the rays of sun light [the wheather in most tropical countries eppears trusworthy and constant]. The extreem contrast between the summer and winter is such a big problem to the skin that it peels every year, so is not because the black man skin is stronger than the white man skin.
