Hello, you dont really need to be changing ISP.From my own view, the problem you are facing is not ISP problem, rather it is your LAN management problem. the solutions are these:First , You need some softwares on your network like system deep freeze, drive vaccine and worm cleaner so as to be cleaning your network from worm and Virus. Second you need a good bandwidth manager (not expensive one) and lastly a good network /system enginner. For further Discussion , pls you can reach me on this line:08060308095

i think i need a good bandwidth manager and network monitoring software that can help me have access to laptops of some of my customers that comes with there laptop to download and do other heavy stuffs online.

1st get your server to block IP sites you know are illegal and you dont want on your network e.g. email extractor sites. For efficient network bandwidth monitoring, get a cisco switch and turn on the bandwidth feature so no 1 exceeds his alloted bandwidth seeing Ethernet uses bandwidth contention. My 2 kobo. |

Hello Collins465,
The problem with your cafe may not be from your end,Let me give you an example.I have been running cafe for about 5 years now,sometimes ISPs have problem from their end but pass the blame to you telling you there is virus on your network. What i normally do is first do a check on my side to find out the problem is not from my end ,once i have done that you can then tell them (ISP) that the problem is not from your end.Then recently most isp are finding it difficult to pay new rate as a result of Dollar wahala, my isp inclusive(DOPC). My current isp is the 10th isp i am using ,as i have bought all kinds of modems from KU to C band network. Just take your time the problem sometimes might just ease off.
