According to the Bible, we have to find out or ask ourselves whether the Prophets of the Living God was ever carried to the House of God after death, for prayer or for any sanctification or whatever you call it, If people like Abraham, Isaac, Jacob and many others were buried beside their love ones without any preparation for the death for their souls then taking corpse to the church is wrong but whether is a sin I don’t know

Carrying corpse to the church is not bad. It depends on the principle/doctrine of the church. Come to think of it, when that person was alive, he used to worship with you and the fact that he passed on should not deprive him of the place where he was well known at least for the last time.

I am not saying they should pray for him cos that is a waste of time but should be used as an example for others to see that someday they would be carried into the church instead of the way they used to walk in by themselves. It is not a sin either.
