Few weeks ago we thought they were bluffing. The rumour spread all over and everybody was panicking. Eventually it came to reality this morning. About 50 staff were asked to go in my company and those that are left will also have to loose 30% of their salaries henceforth. They told us if the action was not taken the company may global. We were given option of resigning. I pray that no one in the house should loose his/her job but we all must prepare this period and be strong. All the best. |

Sorry you lost your job. Welcome to the reality you have been hearing about all over the world. Job cuts are probably a strange phenomenon in Naija but in the western world, they are always so quick to layoff at the slightest sign of business downturn. Keep your head up and you'll land something else soon. For those considering moving to the US or UK, these are some of the realities you'll have to be ready to deal with. There is no such thing as job security around here. |

Sorry about the job loss but I really think this is the time for you to show the stuff you are made off, put on your thinking cap and think up what you can do by yourself while still making efforts to get something.
