Justification For Stinginess

Hi readers! It is common knowledge that the parsimonious attitude of some people towards giving has been widely critisized and discouraged, with critics stressing that man should be his brother's keeper. but readi the suceeding story, one can hardly blame the king midases of today.
a barber saw that God had really prospered his business and decided to extend the favour by giving the first customers in his shop a free hair cut for the next three days. on the first day it was a baker that got the bonus and the next morning the barber found 12 cakes at his doorstep as a show of appreciation. the next customer to benefit from the barber's benevolence was a florist, and the next day the barber found 12 freshly picked roses at his doorstep. the third person to recieve the free haircut was a preacher, and the next morning when the barber came to work he found a line of preachers a mile long waiting at his doorstep for a free haircut!
I understand that this clearly shows man's blunt side and kind of justifies the non-givers, but why on earth did the writer choose a preacher to illustrate this act of ungratefulness! especially with a hair cut! one would think that buddhist monks would be favourites for the post. bye4now.
