I really don't think itz fake because it'll give them time to screen. i also think itz better than telling you to come back and start working in two weeks or any shorter time.
It'll also give you time to prepare for what your about to face (A new job)

have to screen and interview non-nigerdeltans also so that they can resume
2gether january.and if you think your letter is fake you can throw it away.
