Chukwutem, don't mind them. You probably can start learning how to type, save and retrieve documents for your personal use just as SEUN has suggested. But there are a lot of things you can do with your Laptop depending on how you look at the laptop. Some people may just install a pc-Bible for studies thats all; so it depends on what you actually want.

Even 'immature' kids know what to use a laptop for, which still baffles me why in the world of today a so-called 'mature' grown thick-haired a$$ guy would come over here to ask us what to use a laptop for (or haven't you heard of a three-year old who ordered for a car via the internet?). I want to appologise to d forum 4 initiating this thread.
But I want all 2 understand that Nigeria is a 3rd world country wit 2few computers 4her size.Hence,most Nigerians have not even seen a computer before.
I think d so called lords&gurus of computer should PATIENTLY spread computer literacy.

@CHUKWUTEM. if u say most people in ur village haven't seen a computer, quite understandable. but it don't make sense to generalise nigeria like that & start thinkin of yourself as one of the lucky few. why on earth would u buy a laptop when u don't know its use? well, if it's a gift, ask whoever gave it to you what to do with it. otherwise, return it to him. just in case, why not bring out d manual & type everything inside d damn computer before returnin it?
