Best PC Game Ever?

I need sites where these games can be downloaded free

Over 50 game of the year awards and the fact that every FPS game since has copied it in one way or another are facts indicative of Half Life being the best PC game ever (arguably the best game on any format ever). Honorable mentions to Half Life 2, Warcraft 3, Deus Ex, Total Annihilation, Diablo series, AoE series, Civ series, Baldur's Gate series and the Total War series.

Please o! Valve engine no reach Unreal engine.
I vote for the Unreal series especially Unreal Tournament 2004. I submit that Half Life upped the ante in FPS but Unreal made replayability n fun sometin that kept u coming back for more.

before we start listing games there should be a criteria by which we can judge this games on a common ground. i guess someone should come up with this idea.i.e graphics, A.I, pace or speed, gaming action etc.something like that sha.
however i think the best game i have ever played is F.E.A.R, its too good to be true. HL2 is also the bomb but i rate FEAR above it by 2%.

i feel that for just pick up and play, counter strike is the best as it has good graphics able to run on a standerd computer. and dosnt demand a great deal of player skill.

If u've ever been fortunate to play any of the series u will agree wit me that UT has the best combat AI developed for a a FPS especially one that deals wit multiplayer n bots (computer guided players).

The gameplay is intense n satisfying wit a lot of options to vary the play style to your hearts content.

Weaponry in the game is well balanced between speed n power also very fun to use. There is nothing like pointing your crosshairs at your opponents head pulling the trigger n seeing it explode in a shower of gore! Boyah!

The controls a smooth with mouse n keyboard allowing u freedom to run in any direction n shooting in another.

Both team based n single player games require some level of strategy to win as well as fast reflexes to dodge bullets n that fatal headshot.

Mods are infinite n so kool. You can even turn it into a racing game. How kool is that??!!

Ahhh the vehicles. Vehicular combat is sweet u have aircraft, spacecraft, armored tanks, hovercraft, 4X4 etc.

Am telling u I could go on about UT but I'd like u to have a taste.
