The present will become the oldies and you'd think back and say, the good old days. It's human nature. I have absolutely zero memories of the 80's.

Hahahahaha You want Vesc to vex abi? I remember Jimi Odumosu's tv serials.Guy made the only naija horror to scare me as a kid:Evil Encounters. I think he also made Fiery Force. LTV 8 & Channel 5 made your screen dreams come true. Other channels did not exist. You ever saw Man in a Briefcase, Randall and Hopkins,The Professionals, Hawaii 5-0 and the rest?

Hammer House of Horror! British and yet, terrifying. That lie lie A Team. 'BOSS' will lock them up in a barn filled only with hay and nails and donkeys and the next thing they have manufactured a tractor from those ingredients. Best lie-lie team of the 80s.

But, but, I don dey when the infamous rainbow line thingie dey too. Sesame street is very fresh in my memory. I also remember Matlock (which I kinda liked a lot but in retrospect I wonder why a kid my age should have), Dr. Who used to scare the bejeesus outta me. Just the theme song and I'd be hugging the sofa. Not like I could peel my eyes off the TV. I admit, in later times I couldn't care less what was on local TV (My dad made me go through one hour of NTA news everyday though). My mum keeps on telling me I missed really good Television like it was back in her day. A common example (the only example really) is Village Headmaster. I don't know anything about this show. But you've gotta admit, I still try.

We could go on and on about the good old days. The simple truth is that creativity has departed from Nigerian TV stations. The graduates being employed these days in the Nigerian Media are not really innovative and deep thinkers like those of the 70's , 80's and early 90's. Many of them hustle for media jobs just to survive. I know what I'm saying. It is not as if they do not have books to read or materials that will stimulate them artistically. It is just that our value system has been thrown to the dogs. In Japan and South Korea, solid animations and cartoons that are eons ahead of Voltron are being created daily. Our Television Stations are not headed by great thinkers. Let me stop here. Cheers.
