Mikel Obi Is Not A Super Eagle And Using Him Will Ruin Us

Super Eagles will be doomed if we continually use Mikel as our playmaker. He has simply become a defensive midfielder. Mourihno ruined Nigeria’s opportunity to have a world class playmaker by destroying that boy in my opinion. Amodu is technically inept to make such a woeful decision as using Mikel as our playmaker. If we are to make any serious impact in world football, we need a playmaker in the mould of Okocha/Nwosu/Etim which Mikel is NOT!

With what I saw yesterday, I doubt we will qualify for the World cup, and if we do, we will not get past the preliminary stage. It was embarrassing the way the Mozambicans outplayed, outwitted and bombarded our Eagles for 90mins. We were even lucky the referee disallowed their goal which was disputable and most referees would have allowed.

If nothing serious is done about our central midfield, believe me will be doomed. Why on earth are we playing two defensive midfielders (Keita & Mikel) together? This ruined the game for us. A true playmaker/rover like Okocha would have given us creative spark to attack from the middle. In fact I even prefer we manage aged Kanu as playmaker until we find a new one soonest I hope.
