Lord help your friend, please don't advise her to take anything without the consult of a professional. Take her to a doctor and let her do it the right way. Too late to cry over spilt me. But hopefully she learn how to use proper contraception next time.

Sorry, not trying to sound smart or anything, but if it's against her religion to keep the baby, wouldn't it be even worse to keep it (not even thinking about the act that got her pregnant to begin with.

I don't support abortion because its murder & nothing more but if you insist, just don't use gynaecocid oo because its effect could make everybody know what she has cooked that got the house burnt. It is better to go fo D & C. I am in the health line & it remains the best because drugs are not too good.

Note: D&C must be done by a professional or else it could be more dangerous.

Let her go and meet a Doctor.
But if she is old enough  let her have the backbone to go and tell her People.
It is even a bigger sin to remove it.
She will not be Nigerias first single mother.

Either you support abortion or not, you're not the one doing the abortion so what the heck? She only needs an advice and if you can give one, go ahead. Otherwise, go take a nap. Angry

DRUGS??? The hell no!!!  The request was for a "safer abortion". The safest method is having a D&C. Even at 6 months of amenorrhea you can still do it. Please go to a good Gynae and Obs specialist

. . .Does not mean I support abortion but if you can't keep the baby, you'll have to take the risk and get rid of it. Y'all don't even start abeg. Angry

@Izoneb, when you child is of age and makes the mistake of getting pregnant, you tell her the same thing. Ok? Shocked

@ radiant
Why don't you give your own advice without stating it that you don't support abortion. I simply did thesame Even if the dilatation is done at 9months of amenorrhea i don't care!!! I was only making sure she has a greater probability of being fruithful in life by not taking pills!!!

I will not advise anyone to have one at 6 months.
I have not heard of a religion that allows you to have sex but says no to a baby.
The lady has to find out reasons for keeping it and reasons for removing it.
If the only reason for removing it is her religion then the damge has been done she is only doing it because of what people will say.
If she has no money , her people will drive her etc etc . then maybe
But First she has to inform the father of the child and see what he has to say.
flirtychic  some of us here will be happy for more infos from you.
please do not let someotheres put you off.

@Radiant & mamaput please enlighten us as for prevention 'because i'm sure lotta people who needs it will visit this thread.

I didn't advice to do a D&C at 6 months but it's possible.

Preventions would be the classical methods:

1.Condoms
2.Emergency contraceptives you take immediately after sex or at least within 72 hours after sex
3.I discourage long term use of contraceptives.

Regarding the Emergency contraceptive I was talking about(Postinor), I made enquiries today and it happens to be the only existing emergency contraceptive.

NB:It is adviced not to take more than 2/3 per year as it may cause hormonal imbalance.

I suggest while you have your fun, protect with condom to avoid future consequences of contraceptives and D&C.

Cheers sisters! Kiss

@ Radiant

Thank you Ma!I appreciate the fact you have told her about condoms like I also did even after scolding her like I would scold my daughter and I don't know what u want me to wait for because I am already bringing up God fearing Daughters who I talk to and listen to me.
God willing nothing will go wrong with them.Mistakes are bound to happen but not for what we scream about everyday.

If the poster of this thread contracted AIDS you will not be saying the same words. Its good to tell people the truth and stop acting like some other person is crude.
OK darling?Have a Blessed day!!!

Your manner of approach was very wrong. You call what you did an advise? Shocked
If your daughter came home to tell you about a problem and you tell her to clear off your face, you think she'll come back to ask you for help when it comes to her 'secret' problems???

Mistakes are bound to happen certainly. Both to christians and non-christians. You never heard of born-again sisters having a D&C???
Your daughters are not an exception so don't rely on your training and preaching though might be very helpful for them.

Have a blessed day too!

What I mean is that parents need to be trained before they are allowed to start messing children up!
